PENGEMBANGAN GAME SIDE SCROLLING 2D "MONSTER ESCAPE" BERBASIS DESKTOP MENGGUNAKAN UNITY 3D

Dengan semakin berkembangnya teknologi, komputer tidak hanya digunakan sebagai alat untuk bekerja, melainkan sudah dilengkapi dengan berbagai fitur multimedia, salah satunya adalah permainan (video game). Semakin berkembangnya teknologi game, kini game bukan hanya sebagai pelengkap sebuah komputer tetapi game merupakan kebutuhan khusus bagi sebagian orang sebagai media hiburan. Meskipun pada saat ini adalah era game 3D, namun game 2D masih banyak diminati. Terdapat banyak jenis dan kategori dalam game, salah satunya adalah side scorlling 2D, game ini biasanya bergerak dari kiri ke kanan atau dari bawah ke atas. Contoh game yang bertipe side scrolling 2D adventure adalah Super Mario dan Super Meat Boy. Monster Escape merupakan game side scrolling 2D adventure berbasis desktop yang bercerita tentang karakter berwarna merah yang bernama Red Monster, berpetualang melewati rintangan dan juga mengumpulkan poin. Game ini terdiri dari 4 level dengan desain yang berbeda-beda dan batasan waktu tertentu untuk setiap levelnya. Game Monster Escape dibuat menggunakan Unity 3D 4.3f, sedangkan desain grafis dibuat dengan menggunakan CorelDraw X5. Kata kunci : desktop, game, side scrolling, Unity 3D, 2D.

There are many types and categories in the game, one of which is side scrolling 2D, this game usually moves from left to right or from bottom to top. Examples of the type of game 2D side scrolling adventure is Super Mario and Super Meat Boy. Monster Escape is a 2D side scrolling adventure game that tells the story of a desktop-based red character named Red Monster, who adventure through the obstacles and also collect points. This game consists of 4 levels with different designs and a certain time limit for each level. Monster Escape game created using Unity 3D 4.3f, while the graphic design created using CorelDraw X5.
