Mitos dan Ideologi dalam Novel Kuda Karya Panji Sukma: Kajian Mitos Roland Barthes

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan mitos-mitos yang ada dalam novel Kuda. Mitos-mitos tersebut diungkap dengan teori mitologi roland barthes karena memenuhi berbagai aspek-aspeknya. Novel Kuda karya Panji Sukma terdiri dari sistem linguistik dan sistem mitis. Dua sistem tersebut menghasilkan bentuk dan konsep. Di dalam bentuk terdapat makna denotasi, sedangkan di dalam konsep terdapat makna konotasi, selanjutnya dicari hubungan makna keduanya untuk mengungkap mitos. Pembacaan antara makna denotasi dan makna konotasi, serta bentuk dan konsep akan mengungkap mitos-mitos yang berada di dalam novel Kuda. Selanjutnya setelah mitos terungkap maka akan dicari ideologi yang terdapat di dalam novel Kuda tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya unsur dominasi patrem di dalam novel Kuda. Dominasi tersebut menunjukkan adanya mitos di dalam novel. Patrem merupakan bentuk yang dimanfaatkan konsep (motivasi dan konteks) untuk membangun sebuah mitos. Mitos tentang patrem tersebut adalah suatu bentuk representasi menjaga nilai-nilai lokalitas dan menjaga tradisi leluhur tentang kiprah perkerisan. Berdasarkan pemitosan tersebut, terungkap bahwa terdapat ideologi tertentu di dalam novel Kuda. Oleh karena itu, novel Kuda merupakan sebuah karya sastra yang bersifat ideologis. Ideologi yang terdapat di dalam novel Kuda merupakan ideologi kejawen dan konservatisme. Ideologi kejawen dalam novel ini berasal dari kebudayaan Jawa yang memuat cerita dan mitos yang berhubungan dengan perasaan dan pengalaman dalam menemukan Tuhan dalam kehidupannya. Ideologi konservatif di dalam novel Kuda memiliki kekuatan untuk melindungi atau melestarikan tradisi nenek moyang dan kepercayaan lama. Selain itu terdapat ideologi pengarang di dalam novel Kuda yaitu ideologi kejawen. Ideologi pengarang dipengaruhi oleh kehidupannya dalam melestarikan adat-adat Jawa dan kehidupannya yang sangat dekat dengan keris. Kata kunci: mitos, ideologi, patrem, konservatisme, kejawen  

This research reveals Roland Barthes' semiological system from the novel Kuda by 

Panji Sukma which consists of a linguistic system and a mythic system. These two 

systems produce shapes and concepts. In the form there is a denotational meaning, 

while in the concept there is a connotational meaning, then we look for the 

relationship between the meanings of the two to reveal the myth. A reading between 

the meaning of denotation and the meaning of connotation, as well as forms and 

concepts will reveal the myths in the Horse novel. Next, after the myth is revealed, 

you will look for the ideology contained in the Horse novel.   

The result of this research is that there is an element of patrem dominance in the 

novel Kuda. This dominance shows the existence of myths in the novel. Patrem is 

a form that concepts (motivation and context) use to build a myth. The myth about 

the patrem is a form of representation of maintaining locality values and 

maintaining ancestral traditions regarding kerisan work. Based on this myth, it was 

revealed that there is a certain ideology in the Horse novel. Therefore, the novel 

Horse is a literary work of an ideological nature.  

The ideology contained in the novel Kuda is Javanese ideology and conservatism. 

The Javanese ideology in this novel comes from Javanese culture which contains 

stories and myths related to feelings and experiences in finding God in one's life. 

Conservative ideology in the novel Horses has the power to protect or preserve 

ancestral traditions and old beliefs. Apart from that, there is the author's ideology 

in the novel Kuda, namely Javanese ideology. The author's ideology is influenced 

by his life in preserving Javanese customs and his life which is very close to the 

keris.
