Optimalisasi Exhaust Brake Pada Unit Hino 500 FM 260 JD Untuk Menurunkan Potensial Lost Cost Unit Hauling Di PT PP Presisi Site Weda Bay Nickel

Berdasarkan aktual dilapangan komponen exhaust brake pada unit Hino 500 FM 260 JD sering mengalami breakdown, salah satu penyebab kerusakan yaitu adanya lumpur yang sering masuk ke tabung exhaust, sehingga mengganggu kerja dari komponen tersebut. Penelitian exhaust brake ini bertujuan untuk membuat perbandingan antara komponen exhaust brake tanpa cover dan menggunakan cover untuk meningkatkan life time dan menganalisis jumlah kerusakan pada komponen tersebut serta menghitung potensial lost cost exhaust brake pada unit hauling berdasarkan pengambilan data secara langsung saat di lapangan. Cover di pasang pada tiga unit dump truck pada unit hauling. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa pada saat komponen exhaust brake tidak menggunakan cover berdasarkan data menunjukan kerusakan sebanyak 14, dan setelah menggunakan cover terdapat 4 kerusakan. Dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan bahwa cover pada komponen exhaust brake berpengaruh terhadap life time dan jumlah kerusakan pada komponen tersebut. Setelah dilakukan pengujian, dilakukan perhitungan potensial lost cost yang terdiri dari 4 variabel yaitu perhitungan biaya sparepart, biaya produksi, biaya operator dan biaya mekanik.

Based on actual results in the field, the exhaust brake components on the Hino 500 FM 260 JD unit often experience breakdowns, one of the causes of damage is the presence of mud which often enters the exhaust tube, thus disrupting the work of these components. This exhaust brake research aims to make a comparison between exhaust brake components without covers and using covers to increase life time and analyze the number of damages to these components as well as calculating the potential lost cost of exhaust brakes on hauling units based on direct data collection in the field. Covers are installed on three dump truck units in the hauling unit. The test results show that when the exhaust brake component does not use a cover, data shows 14 damage, and after using the cover there are 4 damage. It can be seen based on the results of the tests carried out that the cover on the exhaust brake component has an effect on the life time and number of damages to the component. After testing, potential lost costs are calculated which consist of 4 variables, namely spare part costs, production costs, operator costs and mechanical costs.
