KONFLIK ANTARTOKOH DALAM FILM “NYENGKUYUNG”: ANALISIS NARATOLOGI SEYMOUR CHATMAN

Penelitian ini berfokus pada penyelesaian konflik antartokoh dalam film "Nyengkuyung" karya Wahyu Agung Prasetyo yang tersedia di YouTube Netflix Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konflik antartokoh yang dibangun melalui aspek cerita story-existents dan wacana (discourse). Bentuk penelitian ini menerapkan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Struktur Naratif Seymour Chatman. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah simak-catat dan analisis audio-visual serta analisis data deskriptif.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa film “Nyengkuyung” memiliki tujuh tokoh utama dan 16 (enam belas) adegan. Urutan penceritaan film ini diatur dengan alur flashforward atau disusun secara kronologis. Struktur naratif story-existents film “Nyengkuyung” mencakup beberapa tahapan yang terdiri dari pengenalan tokoh dan penokohan, penyituasian, tahap pemunculan konflik, peningkatan konflik, klimaks, dan penyelesaian konflik. Unsur setting film "Nyengkuyung" dianalisis melalui delapan latar tempat. Latar waktu yang terjadi di malam hari. Latar sosial yang menggambarkan kehidupan masyarakat Jawa yang berusaha melestarikan budaya dan tradisi desa mereka di tengah tantangan modernitas dan pandemi. Unsur wacana dalam film ini dianalisis melalui bentuk penceritaan dan sudut pandang, dengan memperhatikan peran-peran seperti Penulis Nyata, Penulis Tersirat, Narator, Narratee, Pembaca Tersirat, dan Pembaca Nyata.

This research focuses on the conflict resolution between characters in the movie "Nyengkuyung" by Wahyu Agung Prasetyo which is available on YouTube Netflix Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to find out the conflict between characters built through aspects of story-existents and discourse. The form of this research uses descriptive qualitative with the theory used is Seymour Chatman's Narrative Structure Theory. The data collection techniques used are listening and audio-visual analysis and descriptive data analysis.

Based on the research results, it shows that the movie "Nyengkuyung" has seven main characters and 16 (sixteen) scenes. The film's storytelling sequence is organized by flashforward flow or arranged chronologically. The narrative structure of the story-existents of the film "Nyengkuyung" includes several stages consisting of the introduction of characters and characterizations, setting, conflict emergence stage, conflict escalation, climax, and conflict resolution. The setting element of the film "Nyengkuyung" is analyzed through eight place settings. The time setting that occurs at night. The social setting describes the lives of Javanese people who are trying to preserve the culture and traditions of their villages amid the challenges of modernity and the pandemic. The elements of discourse in this film are analyzed through the form of storytelling and point of view, paying attention to roles such as Real Author, Implied Author, Narrator, Narratee, Implied Reader, and Real Reader.
