Analisis Motif Penukaran Nasib oleh Tokoh Utama dalam Drama 'The Golden Spoon' (???): Perspektif Personologi Murray

Penelitian ini membahas tentang aspek psikologis yang memengaruhi motif penukaran nasib oleh utama dalam drama ‘The Golden Spoon’ (???). Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana struktur kepribadian dan kebutuhan yang dimiliki tokoh utama Lee Seungcheon dalam drama ini memengaruhi motif penukaran nasib. Data berupa dialog dan adegan dalam drama dianalisis dengan teori personologi yang dikemukakan oleh Murray (1930) dan dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif.

Hasil analisis menunjukkan struktur kepribadian dan kebutuhan-kebutuhan dalam pribadi tokoh utama Lee Seungcheon mendukung pengaruh motif serta tingkah lakunya melakukan penukaran nasib. Motif penukaran nasib dipengaruhi oleh kompleksitas interaksi antara unsur-unsur struktur kepribadian berupa id, ego, dan, superego. Id Lee Seungcheon berupa dorongan awal yang besar untuk menjadi kaya, diwujudkan oleh ego berupa tindakan yang menukarkan nasibnya menjadi kaya menggunakan sendok emas. Sementara itu, perasaan penyesalan sebagai bagian aspek moral superego muncul setelah melakukan tindakan penukaran nasib. Struktur kepribadian tokoh utama Lee Seungcheon berkontribusi pada perkembangan serta hasil akhir dari motif penukaran nasib. Kemudian, dari dua puluh kebutuhan menurut Murray, ditemukan sembilan kebutuhan dalam diri Lee Seungcheon yang memengaruhi motif penukaran nasib, yaitu: (1) kebutuhan prestasi; (2) kebutuhan afiliasi; (3) kebutuhan menyerang; (4) kebutuhan kemandirian; (5) kebutuhan membela diri; (6) kebutuhan menguasai; (7) kebutuhan menghindari bahaya; (8) kebutuhan menghindari rasa hina; dan (9) kebutuhan merawat. Secara keseluruhan, kebutuhan-kebutuhan ini timbul akibat kondisi ekonomi yang dihadapi tokoh utama Lee Seungcheon. Motif penukaran nasib yang muncul dipengaruhi oleh dorongan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan-kebutuhan tersebut. 

This research discusses the psychological aspects that affect the main character’s fate exchange motive in the drama “The Golden Spoon” (???). This research aims to describe how the personality structure and needs of the main character Lee Seungcheon in this drama affect the fate exchange motive. This research was undertaken through the analysis data from dialogues and scenes within the drama, using the theory of personology by Murray (1930). The research methodology applied in this research is qualitative descriptive method.

The results of the analysis show that the personality structure and needs of the main character Lee Seungcheon substantiate the affect of his motives and actions to exchange fate. The motivation behind the exchange of fate is affected by the complexity among the components of the personality structure, namely the id, ego, and superego. The id, manifested as an intense initial desire to become rich, is realized by the ego through Lee Seungcheon’s action of exchanging his fate to become rich using golden spoon. Meanwhile, the feeling of regret as part of the moral aspect of the superego, emerges subsequent of the execution of the fate exchange act. The personality structure of the main character Lee Seungcheon contributes to the progression and resolution of the fate exchange motive. Subsequently, out of twenty forms of needs according to Murray, there are nine needs discovered in Lee Seungcheon that affected the fate exchange motive. Those forms are: (1) achievement needs; (2) affiliation needs; (3) aggression needs; (4) autonomy needs; (5) defendance needs; (6) dominance needs; (7) harm avoidance needs; (8) inavoidance needs; and (9) nurturance needs. In its entirety, these needs emerge due to the economic conditions faced by the main character Lee Seungcheon. The fate of exchange motive that emerges is affected by the desire to fulfill these needs.
