Unsur-unsur Postmodernisme dalam Fenomena Tren Fashion Harajuku Style

Skripsi ini meneliti tentang unsur-unsur postmodernisme yang terkandung di dalam fenomena tren fashion Harajuku Style. Harajuku Style merupakan salah satu budaya populer yang berasal dari Jepang, yaitu fashion dengan memadupadankan beberapa macam garmen dan item fashion lainnya hingga menjadi suatu gaya fashion. Fenomena tren fashion ini muncul dan populer pada tahun 1966 hingga sekarang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui unsur-unsur postmodernisme yang terdapat di dalam Harajuku Style, serta perbedaan antara fashion postmodern dengan fashion modern. Untuk itu, penelitian ini akan mengkaji unsur postmodernisme dalam Harajuku Style dan perbedaan fashion postmodern dan modern melalui subgaya Kodona Lolita dengan gaya fashion pra-Harajuku Style 'Hamatora' dan Harajuku Style subgaya Decora. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori postmodernisme, serta menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan fenomena tersebut di atas. Penelitian ini menghubungkan keterkaitan antara unsur-unsur postmodernisme dengan fenomena budaya populer Harajuku Style. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dengan menghubungkan konsep-konsep postmodernisme yang mewujud di dalam fenomena tren fashion Harajuku Style, ditemukan unsur-unsur postmodernisme di dalamnya. Ada dua klasifikasi unsur postmodernisme yang ditemukan, yaitu klasifikasi dari segi tujuan dan fungsi pemakaiannya, dan dari segi karakteristik pemakaiannya yang memberi kesan keunikan pada Harajuku Style.

This research discusses the postmodernism elements found in the Harajuku Style fashion trend phenomenon. Harajuku Style is one of the popular culture from Japan, where the user makes a fashion style by mixing and matching several kinds of garments and other fashion items. This fashion trend phenomenon appeared and popular in 1966 until now. The objectives of this research are to find out the postmodernism elements in Harajuku Style and the differences between postmodern fashion and modern fashion. Therefore, this research will examine the postmodernism elements in Harajuku Style and the differences between postmodern fashion and modern fashion through Kodona Lolita from Harajuku Style with the pre-Harajuku Style's Hamatora, and Harajuku Style's Decora. This research used postmodernism theory and descriptive-qualitative methods to explain and describe the phenomenon mentioned above. This research correlates the relations between postmodernism elements and the phenomenon of popular culture Harajuku Style. Based on the results of this research by correlating the concepts of postmodernism in the Harajuku Style fashion trend phenomenon, postmodernism elements were found. There are two classifications of postmodernism found in Harajuku Style, namely the perspective of the purpose and function of its use, and the characteristics of its use which gives the uniqueness impression to Harajuku Style.
