PERBANDINGAN NOVEL DENSHA OTOKO KARYA HITORI NAKANO DAN FILM ADAPTASINYA: DENGAN PENDEKATAN EKRANISASI

Densha Otoko adalah novel yang menceritakan tentang cerita asmara antara seorang pria otaku dan wanita bernama Hermes. Kisah tersebut pernah terungkap dalam situs 2ch. Situs 2ch adalah situs sistem papan buletin anonim terbesar di Jepang dengan penggunanya yang mencapai 12 juta hingga 16 juta jiwa. Kepopuleran situs papan buletin tersebut pernah diadaptasi menjadi novel berjudul Densha Otoko dan juga diadaptasi menjadi film dengan judul yang sama pada tahun 2005 oleh Toho corporation. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjabarkan struktur cerita novel dan film Densha Otoko dari segi tema dan fakta cerita, kemudian membandingkannya berdasarkan pendekatan ekranisasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori ekranisasi. Ekranisasi adalah teori untuk menganalisis tentang perubahan dari novel ke dalam film. Pertama-tama dilakukan analisis terhadap tema dan fakta cerita dalam novel dan film Densha Otoko secara struktural. Selanjutnya, dilakukan analisis ekranisasi untuk mengetahui bentuk dan fungsi transformasi yang terjadi pada proses pemindahan cerita novel ke dalam filmnya. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Terdapat perbedaan pada struktur cerita novel dan film Densha Otoko yang mencakup unsur alur, penokohan, dan latar, sedangkan unsur tema dalam versi novel maupun versi film tidak mengalami perubahan dan tujuan. (2) Transformasi berupa pengurangan, penambahan, dan perubahan bervariasi terjadi karena adanya perbedaan media sastra dan media film (3) Transformasi yang terjadi berfungsi untuk menunjang pemasaran film Densha Otoko melalui ditonjolkannya unsur tema cerita yang bertema percintaan, serta ingin memvisualisasikan karakter tokoh-tokoh anonim ke dalam film Densha Otoko.

Densha Otoko is a romance novel that tells about relationship between a man who is an otaku and a woman named Hermes. The story was once revealed on the 2channel site. 2channel (Ni Channel) is the site of the largest anonymous bulletin board system in Japan with its users reaching 12 million to 16 million. The popularity of this site has been adapted into a novel titled Densha Otoko and was adapted into a film of the same title in 2005 by Toho corporation. This research was conducted to describe the structure of novel and film Densha Otoko in terms of theme and facts of the story, then compared using the theory of ecranization. This research uses the theory of ecranization. Ecranization is the theory to analyze about the transformation of the novel into the film. Ecranization analysis is used to analize the form and the function of the transformation from the novel into film adaptation. The result of this research shows that (1) there are some differences in plot, characters, and setting in the structure of the story between the novel and the film adaptation, but the theme in the novel and the film adaptation has not changed. (2) There are some transformations such as omission, extention, and changes in variation of the scene or character which are happened because the differences of the media between the novel and the film adaptation. (3) The transformation happened to support the marketing of film adaptation has a function to highlight the romantic theme and to visualize an anonymous characters into the film.
