Kekuatan Latar dalam Novel Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi Karya Yusi Avianto Pareanom

Penelitian ini menggunakan objek material novel berjudul Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi karya Yusi Avianto Pareanom dan objek formal teori struktural. Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kekuatan latar novel Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi. Alasan pemilihan objek material novel Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi adalah unsur latar yang ada bersifat tipikal dan beragam, setiap unsur latar tempat, waktu, sosial, alat, dan suasana berfungsi menggambarkan keadaan internal tokoh dan menghadirkan suasana, dan terdapat hubungan antarlatar dan latar dengan unsur novel lain yang kuat dan saling memengaruhi Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktur latar. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, novel Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi terdiri atas latar tempat, latar waktu, latar sosial, latar alat, dan latar suasana. Latar tempat meliputi latar tempat mayor dan minor. Latar waktu meliputi musim panas, musim gugur, musim dingin, musim semi, durasi, dan waktu masa lalu. Latar sosial meliputi kelas sosial tinggi, menengah, dan bawah. Latar alat meliputi latar alat utama dan pelengkap. Latar suasana meliputi bahagia dan sedih. Kedua, unsur-unsur latar dalam novel Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi berfungsi sebagai unsur metaforis dan unsur atmosfer. Ketiga, setiap unsur latar saling behubungan satu sama lain. Unsur latar juga berhubungan dengan unsur novel yang lain, yaitu tokoh, alur, judul, dan tema. Keempat, kekuatan latar tempat dilihat dari sifatya yang tipikal dan beragam, latar waktu terletak pada durasi, latar sosial pada kekhasan latar belakang sosial, latar alat pada sifatnya yang tipikal, latar suasana pada fungsinya menghadirkan atmosfer, kekuatan fungsi pada banyaknya unsur latar yang berfungsi metaforis dan atmosfer, dan kekuatan hubungan pada kuatnya keterkaitan antarunsur.

This research used the material object of the novel entitled Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi by Yusi Avianto Pareanom and the formal object was the structural theory. The main problem in this research was the strength of the setting of the novel Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi.. The reason for choosing the material object of Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi's novel was that the setting elements are typical and varied, each element of the setting of place, time, social, tool, and atmosphere serves to describe the internal state of the character and present the atmosphere, and there is a relation between the setting and setting with the elements of the novel were strong and mutually influencing. The theory used in this research was the theory of setting structure. The method in this research is descriptive analytic. The results of this research were as follows. First, Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi's novel consists of place setting, time setting, social setting, tools setting, and atmosphere setting. Place setting includes major and minor place settings. The time setting includes summer, autumn, winter, spring, duration, and past time. Social setting includes high, middle, and lower social class. The tool setting includes the main and complementary tool settings. The setting of the atmosphere includes happy and sad. Second, the setting elements in Raden Mandasia Si Pencuri Daging Sapi's novel function as metaphorical elements and atmospheric elements. Third, every element of the setting was related to each other. Setting elements were also related to other novel elements, namely characters, plot, title, and theme. Fourth, the strength of the place setting is seen from its typical and diverse nature, the time setting lies in the duration, the social setting in the specificity of the social background, the tool setting in its typical nature, the atmosphere setting in its function of presenting the atmosphere, the strength of the function in the many setting elements that function metaphorically. and atmosphere, and the strength of the relation on the strength of the interrelationships between the elements.
