KONSEP ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PADA FILM TRANSCENDENCE KARYA WALLY PFISTER DITINJAU DARI TEORI INHUMAN JEAN FRANCOIS LYOTARD

Artificial Intelligence merupakan mekanisme yang mendasari pemikiran serta perilaku cerdas guna menirukan beberapa fungsi otak manusia, bahkan berupaya melampauinya. Artificial Intelligence memiliki tujuan untuk membuat mesin lebih berguna. Film Transcendence karya Wally Pfister merupakan film fiksi ilmiah dan sains masa depan. Film tersebut memperlihatkan bahaya Artificial Intelligence menuju singularitas teknologi dan Artificial Life. Melalui perspektif teori Inhuman Jean Francois Lyotard, peneliti mencoba menganalisa konsep Artificial Intelligence dalam film tersebut. Analisa tersebut bertujuan untuk mencari tahu konsep Artificial Intelligence dan dimensi filsafat dalam Film Transcendence, kondisi manusia dalam Film transcendence yang telah kehilangan kemanusiaannya dalam kacamata Jean Francois Lyotard. Objek material dalam penelitian ini adalah Artificial Intelligence dalam Film Transcendence. Objek formalnya adalah teori Inhuman Jean Francois Lyotard. Penelitian ini menggunkan jenis kajian studi pustaka. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder, yakni dari buku, jurnal dan karya ilmuah yang berkaitan dengan judul penelitian. Metoder yang digunakan adalah refleksi filosofis. Sedangkan analisis penelitian ini menggunakan unsur metode deskripsi, interpretasi, kesinambungan historis, dan heurestika. Hasil yang akan diperoleh dalam penelitian ini, pertama adalah pandangan Artificial Intelligence pada Film Transcendence yang dapat berpikir tanpa tubuh menurut Lyotard tidak bisa memenuhi uji bentuk kehidupan. Kedua, menurut Lyotard penciptaan apa yang layak bagi nirmanusia sama seperti apa yang dilakukan Artificial Intelligence berisi unggahan pikiran Dr. Will Caster salah satu tokoh ilmuwan pada Film, yang menuju Artificial Life. Ketiga, aksi kelompok R.I.F.T. yang diceritakan Film dalam menentang perkembangan Artificial Intelligence, sama seperti apa yang diupayakan oleh Lyotard dengan resistensi masal.

Artificial Intelligence is a mechanism that underlies intelligent thinking and behavior in order to imitate some functions of the human brain, even trying to surpass it. Artificial Intelligence aims to make the machine more useful. Wally Pfister's Transcendence film is a future science fiction and science film. The film shows the dangers of Artificial Intelligence towards technological singularity and Artificial Life. Through the perspective of Inhuman Jean Francois Lyotard's theory, researchers tried to analyze the concept of Artificial Intelligence in the film. The analysis aims to find out the concepts of Artificial Intelligence and philosophical dimensions in Film Transcendence, the human condition in the Transcendence Film which has lost its humanity in the eyes of Jean Francois Lyotard. Material Object in this study was Artificial Intelligence in Transcendence Film. Its formal object is Inhuman Jean Francois Lyotard's theory. This study uses a type of library research. Collection data technique of this study uses secondary data, namely from books, journals and scientific works related to the research title. The method used is philosophical reflection. While the analysis of this study uses elements of the method of description, interpretation, historical continuity, and heurestics. The results will be obtained in this study, first is the view of Artificial Intelligence in Transcendence Film that can think without the body according to Lyotard can not meet the test of life forms. Second, according to Lyotard the creation of what is worthy of humanity is the same as what an Artificial Intelligence does with the thought of Dr. Will Caster is one of the leading scientists in film, who is headed for Artificial Life. Third, the actions of the group R.I.F.T. the film told in opposing the development of Artificial Intelligence, just like what Lyotard tried with mass resistance.
