ESTETIKA LAKON KETOPRAK SENAPATI PINILIH KARYA BONDAN NUSANTARA DAN RELEVANSINYA BAGI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai estetika yang terkandung dalam lakon ketoprak Senapati Pinilih karya Bondan Nusantara. Objek material penelitian ini adalah lakon ketoprak Senapati Pinilih dan objek formalnya adalah filsafat keindahan atau estetika. Lakon ketoprak merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari seni ketoprak. Estetika lakon ketoprak Senapati Pinilih didekati dengan teori Monroe Beardsley dalam bukunya Aesthetics: Problems in the Philosophy of Criticism yang menjelaskan ada tiga ciri yang menjadi sifat baik atau indah dari benda-benda estetis, yakni: Kesatuan (unity); Kerumitan (complexity); dan Kesungguhan (intensity). Lakon ketoprak ini juga dikaji relevansinya dengan pendidikan karakterProses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi data, klasifikasi data, dan displai data, dianalisis dengan metode verstehen, interpretasi, analitika bahasa, hermeneutika, dan heuristika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa estetika memiliki pola dan bentuk yang menyatu, terutama untuk tokoh-tokoh dalam lakon ketoprak Senapati Pinilih dan berfungsi sebagai penanda suasana lakon. Dalam lakon ini Bondan Nusantara mengemas tema, media percakapan, petunjuk gerak dan laku menjadi kesatuan yang bulat dan utuh. Dengan alur cerita yang inkonvensional Bondan Nusantara membuat lakon ini menjadi tidak sederhana, kaya akan isi maupun unsur-unsur yang saling berlawanan. Dalam lakon ini Bondan Nusantara menyusun struktur cerita secara dinamis, tidak monoton, sehingga konsentrasi atau perhatian pembaca (penonton) dapat dipertahankan sepanjang lakon berlangsung. Nuansa serius dipadukan dengan nuansa humor secara proporsional dan efektif. Relevansi lakon ketoprak Senapati Pinilih dengan pendidikan karakter bahwa estetika lakon ketoprak ini merupakan satu kesatuan dengan nilai-nilai karakter, sehingga pemahaman terhadap lakon ketoprak ini dapat menginspirasi pendidikan karakter. Karena Pancasila merupakan falsafah hidup masyarakat Indonesia, maka pendidikan karakter di Indonesia mesti mengacu pada sila-sila Pancasila

This study used the qualitative method. This study aims to describe the aesthetics in the ketoprak story Senapati Pinilih by Bondan Nusantara. The material object of the study is the ketoprak story Senapati Pinilih by Bondan Nusantara and the formal object is the philosophy of beauty or aesthetics. The ketoprak story is an integral part of the ketoprak art. The aesthetics of the ketoprak story Senapati Pinilih is approached by Monroe Beardsleys theory in his book Aesthetics: Problems in the Philosophy of Criticism that explains that there are three characteristics of the good or beautiful nature of aesthetic objects, namely unity, complexity, and intensity. This ketoprak story is also studied in terms of its relevance to character education. The data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. They were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data classification, and data display, analyzed by the methods of verstehen, interpretation, language analysis, hermeneutics, and heuristics. The results of the study are as follows. Aesthetics has integrated patterns and forms, especially for the characters in the ketoprak story Senapati Pinilih, and serves as markers of the story atmosphere. In this story, Bondan Nusantara wraps the theme, dialog media, directions of motion and behavior into a unified whole. With an unconventional plot Bondan Nusantara makes this story complex, rich in contents and mutually contrary elements. In this story, Bondan Nusantara structures the story dynamically, not monotonously, so that the concentration or attention of the readers (or viewers) can be maintained throughout the progress of the story. Serious nuances are proportionately and effectively combined with humorous ones. The relevance of the ketoprak story Senapati Pinilih to character education is that the aesthetics of the ketoprak story is an integral part of character values, so that the understanding of the ketoprak story can inspire character education. Because Pancasila is Indonesian peoples philosophy of life, character education in Indonesia should refer to Pancasila principles.
