Transformasi Novel Grafis Poulet Aux Prunes ke Dalam Film Poulet Aux Prunes Karya Marjane Satrapi: Kajian Ekranisasi

Dalam penelitian ini, novel grafis Poulet Aux Prunes (2003) karya Marjane Satrapi dan film Poulet Aux Prunes (2011) yang disutradarai oleh Marjane Satrapi serta Vincent Paronnaud dipilih sebagai objek material. Proses pengalihwahanaan dari novel ke dalam film biasa disebut dengan ekranisasi. Hal tersebut terjadi pada pembuatan film Poulet Aux Prunes yang diangkat dari novel grafis dengan judul yang sama. Proses ekranisasi mengakibatkan terjadinya perubahan-perubahan pada film Poulet Aux Prunes. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi adanya perubahan yang meliputi tiga hal, yakni penciutan, penambahan, dan perubahan variasi adegan baik pada alur cerita, tokoh maupun latar. Pemotongan adegan dari novel grafis Poulet Aux Prunes dan film Poulet Aux Prunes, pengklasifikasian data sesuai kategori yang telah ditentukan, dan analisis data dengan menggunakan teori ekranisasi dari Pamusuk Eneste dilakukan sebagai bagian dari langkah-langkah metode penelitian. Analisis selanjutnya mengarah kepada pengaruh transformasi karakter dua tokoh utama, yakni Nasser Ali dan Irâne terhadap alur cerita dari novel grafis Poulet Aux Prunes ke dalam film Poulet Aux Prunes. Teori Tinjauan Lima Kode Semiotik Roland Barthes diaplikasikan dalam penganalisisan perubahan karakter tokoh film Poulet Aux Prunes. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut menunjukkan adanya perubahan karakter Nasser Ali dan Irâne yang terjadi dari novel grafis ke dalam film.

In this study, a graphic novel Poulet Aux Prunes (2003) by Marjane Satrapi and a film Poulet Aux Prunes (2011) directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud are selected as material objects. The process of adapting a novel into a movie is called ecranisation which also occurs on the adaptation of Poulet Aux Prunes graphic novel into a movie with the same title. The process of ecranisation results in some changes in the movie. This study aims to identify the changes that include three aspects, namely reductions, additions, and variations of the scene on plot, characters and settings. Scenes cutting from both of the Poulet Aux Prunes graphic novel and the Poulet Aux Prunes movie, data classification according to categories which has been determined, and data analysis by employing the theorie of ecranisation by Pamusuk Eneste, are done as a part of the steps of the research methods. Further analysis examines changes in the two main characters of Poulet Aux Prunes film (Nasser Ali and Irâne) that can influence the plot. Roland Barthes's five codes semiotics overview theory is applied in analyzing changes in those characters. The results of this study indicates that changes occur in the character of Nasser Ali and Irâne, coming from the graphic novel into a movie.
