PRO DAN KONTRA OPERASI PLASTIK DI KOREA DALAM FILM 200 POUNDS BEAUTY : KAJIAN SOSIOLOGI SASTRA

Film "200 Pounds Beauty" yang ditayangkan pada tahun 2006 merefleksikan pro dan kontra operasi plastk di Korea dan menjadi film Korea kedua yang menceritakan tentang operasi plastik, khususnya operasi plastik yang dilakukan oleh artis. Permasalahan pokok yang dikaji adalah pro dan kontra terhadap fenomena operasi plastik di Korea dalam film "200 Pounds Beauty". Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perkembangan operasi plastik di Korea serta mengungkapkan pro dan kontra operasi plastik yang terefleksi dalam film "200 Pounds Beauty". Pro dan kontra terhadap operasi plastik dalam film "200 Pounds Beauty" merupakan refleksi dari kondisi sosial Korea modern. Skripsi ini menggunakan teori sosiologi sastra yang mengutamakan pandangan sastra sebagai manifestasi keadaan sosial budaya. Analisis data dilakukan berdasarkan teori sosiologi sastra dengan cara menganalisis adegan dan dialog untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab di balik operasi plastik tokoh utama, bentuk-bentuk pro dan kontra di dalam film kemudian menghubungkannya dengan kondisi sosial yang sebenarnya di Korea. Hasil analisisnya berupa pro dan kontra terhadap operasi plastik di Korea beserta alasannya dalam film "200 Pounds Beauty". Pro dan kontra dalam film ini dibagi menjadi dua bentuk yaitu verbal dan non verbal. Verbal berupa tuturan dan non-verbal berupa tindakan yang berkaitan dengan operasi plastik. Dalam film ini kontra terhadap operasi plastik tokoh utama lebih banyak muncul daripada pro. Selain itu alasan di balik tindakan operasi plastik tokoh utama tidak hanya didasari karena ingin mendapatkan kecantikan semata melainkan juga karena ia ingin mendapatkan kehidupan dan posisi sosial yang lebih baik.

Film "200 Pounds Beauty" that were published on 2006 reflected pros and cons plastic surgery in Korea and becomes second Korean film told about plastic surgery, of which was undergone done by Korean artists. The main subject studied is pros and cons of Korean plastic surgery phenomenon in film "200 Pounds Beauty". Moreover, the aim of this research is to explain and describe the development of Korean plastic surgery and pros and cons of plastic surgery in Korean society reflected in film "200 Pounds Beauty". Pro and cons of plastic surgery in film "200 Pounds Beauty" is reflection of modern socio-cultural condition. This thesis uses literature sociological theory that emphasizes literature point of view as manifestation of the socio-cultural circumstances. Analyzing work was started based on literature sociological theory by analyzing the scene and dialogue to discover the causative factor behind main characters plastic surgery, the form of pro and cons of plastic surgery in this film, and then, connecting it with Korean social condition. The result of this study is pro and cons of plastic surgery in Korean that appears in film "200 Pounds Beauty". Furthermore pros and cons in this film can be divided into two forms ; verbal and non-verbal. Verbal form is statement and non-verbal form is action related to plastic surgery. In this film cons of main characters plastic surgery appears more than the pros. In addition, the reason behind the main characters plastic surgery is not only because on seeking beauty but also because she wants to get better life and social position.
