Formasi Ideologi dan Negosiasi dalam Novel Burung-Burung Rantau Karya Y.B. Mangunwijaya: Analisis Hegemoni Gramsci

Penelitian ini menggunakan novel Burung-Burung Rantau (BBR) karya Y.B. Mangunwijaya sebagai objek material dan teori hegemoni Gramsci sebagai objek formal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi formasi ideologi dan menganalisis negosiasi ideologi dalam novel BBR. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis, yaitu mendeskripsikan fakta-fakta yang dilanjutkan dengan analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua belas ideologi dalam novel BBR, yaitu humanisme, patriarkat, feminisme, tradisionalisme, konvensionalisme, teisme, realisme, rasionalisme, nasionalisme, materialisme, kapitalisme, dan liberalisme. Kedua belas ideologi tersebut memiliki korelasi, pertentangan, dan subordinasi. Untuk mencapai hegemoni, dibutuhkan negosiasi yang bisa terjadi melalui dialog antartokoh dan melalui perenungan diri sendiri. Dalam hal ini, terdapat sepuluh negosiasi ideologi dalam novel BBR. Melalui BBR, pengarang ingin memperkenalkan gagasannya mengenai pascanasional dan menyebarkan jiwa humanis. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa novel BBR adalah usaha pengarang untuk memperlihatkan kekompleksan permasalahan manusia pada era globalisasi. Kekompleksan permasalahan tersebut ditunjukkan melalui ideologi-ideologi para tokoh. Pengarang menceritakan kegelisahan-kegelisahan pikirannya terkait humanisme melalui kehidupan Neti sebagai tokoh utama. Pengarang menonjolkan ideologi humanisme untuk menyuarakan kemanusiaan dan kesetaraan bagi semua manusia.

ABSTRACT This research uses a novel of Y.B. Mangunwijaya's Burung-Burung Rantau (BBR) as the material object and Gramsci's hegemony theory of literature as the formal object. This research aimed at identifying ideology formation and analyzing ideology negotiation in the BBR novel. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis method which was done by describing the facts and then followed by analyzing. This finding of this research show that there are twelve ideologies in the BBR novel, namely humanism, patriarchy, feminism, traditionalism, conventionalism, theism, realism, rationalism, nationalism, materialism, capitalism, and liberalism. Those ideologies have correlations, conflicts, and subordinations. To achieve hegemony, it is required negotiation which can occur through the dialogues between one character and others, also through self-reflection. In this case, there are ten negotiation ideology in the BBR novel. Through the BBR, the author would like to introduce ideas about pascanasional" and spread the humanist spirit. Based on the findings of this research, it can be concluded that the author of the BBR novel attempts to show the complexity of human's problems in the globalization era. The complexity of these problems is show through the ideologies of the characters. The author tends to tell his anxieties concerning on the humanism though Neti's life as the main character. The author focuses on the ideology of humanism to express the humanity and equality for humans.
