MITOS RUBAH DALAM CERPEN GONGITSUNE KARYA NIIMI NANKICHI: KAJIAN MITOLOGI ROLAND BARTHES

Penelitian ini berjudul Mitos Rubah dalam Cerpen Gongitsune Karya Niimi Nankichi: Kajian Mitologi Roland Barthes. Alasan dipilihnya Mitologi Roland Barthes sebagai alat analisis adalah karena cerpen Gongitsune ini menyajikan simbol-simbol dalam bentuk mitos. Makna dari simbol mitos tersebut tidak akan didapatkan dengan sekali pemahaman, namun dengan berulang kali pemahaman. Selain itu juga diperlukan pembacaan makna yang lebih mendalam karena simbol mitos merupakan alat yang digunakan oleh pengarang untuk menyampaikan suatu pesan. Roland Barthes memaparkan tentang teori mitos bahwa mitos merupakan sistem semiologi tingkat ke dua, sehingga mitos mampu mengungkapkan makna yang dikehendaki oleh pembuat mitos. Inilah alasan teori Mitologi Roland Barthes dipilih untuk mengungkapkan masalah yang ada dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa cerpen Gongitsune merupakan sarana pengenalan watak sosok kitsune dan inari di kalangan anak-anak. Niimi berusaha untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai agama sejak dini, yaitu keterkaitan antara Shinto dan inari. Kata kunci: Semiologi, Mitologi, Roland Barthes, Gongitsune

This study entitled The Myth of Fox In The Short Story Gongitsune by Niimi Nankichi: studies the Mythologies of Roland Barthes. The reason for choosing Mythology Roland Barthes as an analytical tool is due to the short story Gongitsune presents the symbols in the form of myth. The meaning of the symbols of myth is not to be found with once comprehension, but by repeatedly comprehension. moreover also required reading deeper meaning because the symbol of the myth is a tool used by the author to convey a message. Roland Barthes explained of the theory of myth that the myth is the second level of semiology, so that the myth is able to reveal the meaning desired by the myth-makers. This is why the theory Mythologies of Roland Barthes is choosed to reveal problems that exist in this study. The results of this study indicate that the short story "Gongitsune" is a character introduction tool of kitsune and inari figure for children. Niimi trying to inculcate religious values from an early age, which is the link between Shinto and inari. Keywords: Semiology, Mythology, Roland Barthes, Gongitsune
