melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least
Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan perangkat
lunak SmartPLS.
jalur -0,501; p<0>
Keputusan Konsumen Berbasis Persepsi UMKM (koefisien jalur 0,435; p<0>

segmentasi berdasarkan karakteristik struktural usaha.
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pekanbaru City operate under
parking system conditions that may generate transaction cost distortions for
consumers, which may influence their purchasing decisions and, in turn, affecting
business owners' profitability. This study aims to examine the effect of Parking
Transaction Cost Distortion on MSME Profitability, both directly and through the
mediating role of Perception-Based Consumer Decision Response, within the
framework of Transaction Cost Theory. This is a quantitative study employing a
survey approach, involving 170 MSME owners or managers in Pekanbaru City,
selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least
Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance
of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that Parking Transaction Cost
Distortion has a significant negative effect on MSME Profitability (path coefficient
-0.501; p<0>
Decision Response (path coefficient 0.435; p<0>
was further found to have a significant negative effect on MSME Profitability (path
coefficient -0.410; p<0>
of Parking Transaction Cost Distortion on MSME Profitability, accounting for
approximately 26 percent of the total effect. The three control variables examined
business type, business age, and business scale showed no significant effect on
profitability. These findings suggest that improving parking system governance and
the consumer transaction experience is a more relevant policy intervention for
enhancing MSME profitability than segmentation based on structural business
characteristics.
