Ancaman terhadap Eksistensi Bangsa Israel dalam Novel Lanatu Sabiyyi Kurati at-Tin Karya Mazin Maruf: Analisis Sosiologi Sastra

Penelitian ini menganalisis bentuk ancaman terhadap eksistensi bangsa Israel dalam novel Lanatu Sabiyyi Kurati at-Tin Karya Mazin Maruf: dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dan teori Intergroup Threat Theory (ITT) dari Walter G. Stephan dan Cookie White Stephan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif.

Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi tiga bentuk ancaman: ancaman realistis berupa ketakutan terhadap narator Palestina sebagai “bom waktu”, stereotip negatif melalui pelabelan dan penghapusan identitas, serta kecemasan antarkelompok yang tampak dalam ketakutan irasional terhadap “arwah” Palestina. Ancaman yang muncul bukan berasal dari kekuatan nyata bangsa Palestina, melainkan dari konstruksi ketakutan yang diciptakan bangsa Israel itu sendiri, sekaligus mencerminkan realitas sosial-politik konflik Palestina-Israel.

This study analyzes the forms of threats to the existence of the Israeli people in the novel Lanatu Sabiyyi Kurati at-Tin by Mazin Maruf:using a sociological approach to literature and Walter G. Stephan and Cookie White Stephan’s Intergroup Threat Theory (ITT). The method employed is descriptive qualitative.

The results of the study identify three forms of threat: a realistic threat in the form of fear of the Palestinian narrator as a “time bomb,” negative stereotypes through labeling and the erasure of identity, and intergroup anxiety manifested in an irrational fear of the “spirits” of the Palestinians. The threats that emerge do not stem from the actual power of the Palestinian people, but rather from constructions of fear created by the Israeli people themselves, while simultaneously reflecting the socio-political reality of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict
