Padepokan Maiyah dengan Pendekatan Poetics of Architecture di Yogyakarta

Pra Tugas Akhir ini merancang sebuah Padepokan Maiyah sebagai respons arsitektural terhadap dinamika sosial, spiritual, dan budaya yang tumbuh dari pemikiran Emha Ainun Nadjib dan praktik Jamaah Maiyah. Padepokan ini tidak hanya diposisikan sebagai ruang kegiatan, tetapi sebagai ruang hidup yang menyatu dengan nilai-nilai kesadaran kolektif, spiritualitas inklusif, serta dialog sosial lintas batas. Pendekatan Poetics of Architecture digunakan untuk menerjemahkan nilai-nilai tak kasatmata seperti puisi, kebersamaan, dan kontemplasi menjadi elemen-elemen nyata berupa ruang, material, cahaya, dan sirkulasi. Konsep naratif ruang dibagi dalam tiga zona utama: Abstraksi (refleksi diri dan ketenangan), Sosialisasi (interaksi dan pertukaran gagasan), serta Mobilisasi (penyebaran nilai dan karya). Perancangan ini dilandasi oleh eksplorasi mendalam terhadap konteks Emha, tipologi padepokan, serta referensi desain puitik. Melalui sintesis pendekatan filosofis, kultural, dan arsitektural, Padepokan Maiyah diharapkan mampu menjadi ruang pertumbuhan nilai kemanusiaan yang peka terhadap konteks lokal, historis, dan spiritual.

This pre-thesis project proposes the design of Padepokan Maiyah as an architectural response to the social, spiritual, and cultural dynamics rooted in Emha Ainun Nadjib’s philosophy and the practices of the Maiyah community. The Padepokan is envisioned not merely as a facility, but as a living space that embodies collective consciousness, inclusive spirituality, and open dialogue. The Poetics of Architecture approach is employed to transform intangible values—such as poetry, communal bonds, and contemplation—into tangible spatial elements through zoning, material articulation, lighting, and circulation. The design narrative is structured around three key zones: Abstraction (personal reflection and calm), Socialization (interactive exchange), and Mobilization (distribution of values and creative action). This project is grounded in a comprehensive exploration of Emha’s thought, traditional padepokan typologies, and architectural poetic precedents. Synthesizing philosophical, cultural, and spatial dimensions, the Padepokan aims to be a space that nurtures humanistic values deeply rooted in local wisdom, history, and spiritual awareness.
