Isu kesejahteraan karyawan menjadi topik yang semakin krusial dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, salah satunya karena 46% karyawan di Indonesia mempertimbangkan berhenti bekerja demi menjaga kesejahteraan mereka. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan meneliti peran gaya hidup sehat dan pilihan makanan sehat sebagai mediator hubungan tuntutan pekerjaan terhadap kesejahteraan karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional survey yang melibatkan 309 karyawan Indonesia. Instrumen pengukuran meliputi Skala Kesejahteraan Karyawan, Skala Tuntutan Pekerjaan, Skala Gaya Hidup Sehat, dan Skala Pilihan Makanan Sehat yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data dianalisis menggunakan SEM-PLS dengan perangkat lunak SmartPLS versi 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tuntutan pekerjaan secara positif dan signifikan berperan terhadap gaya hidup sehat (? = 0,273, p = <0 xss=removed>p = <0 xss=removed>p = <0 xss=removed>p <0>
The
issue of employee well-being has become an increasingly crucial topic in recent
years, one of the reasons being that 46% of employees in Indonesia consider
quitting their jobs to maintain their well-being. Thus, this study aims to
examine the roles of healthy lifestyles and food choices as mediators of the
relationship between job demands on employee well-being. This study used a
quantitative method with a cross-sectional survey design involving 309 Indonesian
employees. The measurement instruments used were the Employee Well-being Scale,
Job Demands Scale, Healthy Lifestyle Scale, and Healthy Food Choice Scale that
have been adapted into Indonesian. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS with
SmartPLS software version 4. The results showed that job demands positively and
significantly had a role in healthy lifestyles (? = 0.273, p = <.001) and
healthy food choices (? = 0.491, p = <.001), but did not play a role in
employee well-being (? = -0.006, p = <.937). Mediation test showed that only
healthy lifestyle was able to mediate between job demands and employee
well-being (? = 0.147, p <.001). Therefore, regardless of the job demands
imposed on employees, companies need to integrate healthy lifestyles (e.g.
healthy canteen, providing gym) into strategies or interventions that are
focused on maintaining and improving employee well-being.
