This study explores the potential of Roblox Nation as a political simulation game to enhance young people’s understanding of politics and public policy. Using a qualitative case study approach completed by a simple survey, the research investigates how political roleplay in Roblox influences both creators and players in comprehending political systems and policy-making processes. The analysis is guided by the Constructivist Learning Theory, emphasizing active knowledge construction, collaboration, reflection and contextual learning. Findings reveal that Roblox Nation facilitates instrumental, collaborative and reflective learning, allowing participants to experience political structures, policy formulation and democratic practices through immersive roleplay. Furthermore, the study highlights a transformative impact on creators and players, particularly in raising political awareness, stimulating interest in policy issues and in some cases, shaping future educational and career aspirations in politics and public administration. This study contributes to the discourse on gamification of politics by showing how digital platforms like Roblox can serve as interactive tools for political education, civic engagement and policy learning among younger generations.
