STEREOTIPE GENDER DALAM BUKU BERGAMBAR MY SHADOW IS PINK: IMPLIKASI PERFORMATIVITAS TOKOH SEBAGAI DEKONSTRUKSI GENDER

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan menganalisis performativitas tokoh dalam buku bergambar "My Shadow is Pink" dengan fokus pada mendekonstruksi stereotipe gender. Objek material yang menjadi sumber utama analisis ini adalah narasi yang menunjukan performativitas gender tokoh Collin dalam buku My Shadow is Pink. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kerangka teori, yaitu teori gendr performativitas Judith Butler dan teori dekonstruski Jacques Derrida. Dengan kerangka teori performativitas gender Judith Butler, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana performativitas tokoh dalam buku bergambar ini mengubah, menantang, atau menghilangkan stereotipe gender yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dekonstruksi Jacques Derrida untuk memahami bagaimana performativitas tokoh mendekonstruksi konstruksi gender dalam lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah. Hasil dari penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua: 1. Performavitas fisik tokoh Collin sebagai dekonstruksi gender dalam memecah stereotipe gender dalam buku My Shadow is Pink. 2. Implikasi performativitas tokoh pada lingkungan rumah dan sekolah: kedudukan orang tua dalam penghapusan stereotipe gender, dukungan perkembangan anak, ekspansi gender yang inklusif, dan pencapaian dekonstruksi gender. Selain itu, penelitian ini membantu pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) khususnya tujuan kelima tentang kesetaraan gender dan tujuan Keempat tentang pendidikan berkualitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan dan solusi tentang cara mendorong inklusivitas dan mencegah diskriminasi dalam masyarakat.

This study aims to explore and analyses the character's performativity in the picture book "My Shadow is Pink" with a focus on deconstructing gender stereotypes. The material object that is the main source of this analysis is the narrative that shows the gender performativity of the character Collin in the book My Shadow is Pink. This study uses two theoretical frameworks, namely Judith Butler's gender performativity theory and Jacques Derrida's deconstruction theory. With the framework of Judith Butler's gender performativity theory, this study explores how the character's performativity in this picture book changes, challenges, or eliminates existing gender stereotypes. This study uses Jacques Derrida's deconstruction method to understand how the character's performativity deconstructs gender construction in the family and school environment. The results of this study are divided into two: 1. The physical performativity of the character Collin as a gender deconstruction in breaking down gender stereotypes in the book My Shadow is Pink. 2. Implications of the character's performativity in the home and school environment: the position of parents in eliminating gender stereotypes, supporting child development, inclusive gender expansion, and achieving gender deconstruction. In addition, this research helps achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) especially the fifth goal on gender equality and the fourth goal on quality education. The purpose of this research is to gain knowledge and solutions on how to promote inclusivity and prevent discrimination in society.
