Waktu, Modus, dan Suara dalam Novel Pulung Gantung Tali Pati Karya Iman Budhi Santosa: Konstruksi Naratologi Gerard Genette

Novel Pulung Gantung Tali Pati digunakan sebagai objek material dalam penelitian ini, Novel tersebut menceritakan mitos mengenai pulung gantung yang dinarasikan berbagai tokoh, baik tokoh utama maupun tokoh pendukung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap berbagai aspek naratologi dalam novel.
Teori Naratologi Gerard Genette digunakan sebagai pisau analisis dalam mengupas sebuah problematika naratif. Terdapat beberapa unsur konstruksi naratif diantaranya urutan naratif, durasi naratif, frekuensi naratif, modus naratif, dan frekuensi naratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Data yang diambil merupakan berbagai ungkapan naratif yang dinarasikan narator dalam novel.
Hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini mengungkap berbagai konstruksi naratif Gerard Genette diantaranya urutan naratif dalam novel Pulung Gantung Tali Pati menggambarkan waktu cerita yang tidak berurutan (anakroni). hal tersebut dipengaruhi berbagai aspek naratif lain seperti durasi naratif. Ditemukan beberapa durasi naratif dalam novel seperti jeda, adegan, dan ellipsis. Berdasarkan hal tersebut urutan waktu cerita saling mendahului satu sama lain. Selain itu, terdapat beberapa pengulangan peristiwa yang dinarasikan oleh narator. Pengulangan tersebut berupa representasi anaforis. representasi tunggal, representasi iteratif, dan representasi pengulangan. Oleh karena itu, kedudukan narator mempunyai posisi penting dalam pembangun teks naratif. Narator dalam novel Pulung Gantung Tali Pati tidak hadir sebagai tokoh (heterodiegetik). Meskipun begitu, narator tetap bisa hadir melalui sudut pandangnya (fokalisasi). Dalam novel ditemukan berbagai fokalisasi antara lain; fokalisasi nol dan fokalisasi internal. Aspek naratif yang terakhir berupa suara naratif yang menghubungkan keseluruhan konstruksi naratif dalam novel.
The novel Pulung Gantung Tali Pati is used as an object material in this study. The novel tells the myth of pulung gantung that is narrated by various characters, both main characters and supporting characters. This research aims to identify various aspects of narratology in the novel.
Gerard Genette's Narratology Theory is used as an analytical tool in analyzing a narrative question. There are several elements of narrative construction including narrative sequence, narrative duration, narrative frequency, narrative mode, and narrative voice. This research uses descriptive-qualitative method. The data taken are various narrative expressions narrated by the narrator in the novel.
The results of the analysis in this study reveal various narrative constructions of Gerard Genette including the narrative sequence in the novel Pulung Gantung Tali Pati describes the story time that is out of sequence (anachrony). this is influenced by various other narrative aspects such as narrative duration. There are several narrative durations in the novel such as pauses, scenes, and ellipsis. Based on these items, the time sequence of the story overlapped with each other. In addition, there are several repetitions of events narrated by the narrator. The repetition is in the form of anaphoric representation, singular representation, iterative representation, and repetition representation. Therefore, the position of the narrator has an important position in the construction of the narrative text. Therefore, the position of the narrator has an essential position in the construction of the narrative text. The narrator in Pulung Gantung Tali Pati is not presented as a character (heterodiegetic). Even so, the narrator can be presented through his point of view (focalization). In the novel, there are various focalizations such as zero focalization and internal focalization. The last narrative aspect is narrative voice that relates the overall narrative construction in the novel.
