This condition has an impact on the increasing need for land to be used as a place for community settlement. One of the solutions to meet the needs of residential areas in Magelang City is by planning the development of vertical housing in the form of simple flats. Sentinel-2A imagery from the 2018 and 2023 recording years is used to intercept information in urban areas dominated by building objects. The method used in this study is a hybrid interpretation method by utilizing the transformation of the Urban Index. The field survey stage was carried out to determine the accuracy of building density data in the residential area of Magelang City with a sampling technique, namely stratified random sampling. The determination of the direction of densification development was carried out using the standard devitional ellipse method, the development pattern using the nearest neighbor analysis method, and the speed using the calculation of Plt (Pertambahan Lahan Terbangun). The process of determining the prospective location of the land for simple apartment planning in Magelang City was carried out by overlaying data with 10 parameters and methods of interpretation. From the results of the accuracy tests that have been carried out, the visual interpretation process of the Sentinel-2A image in 2018 has an accuracy of 80.85% and in 2023 it is 85.10%. Meanwhile, the accuracy of hibdria interpretation showed better results of 92.1%. The results of this study show that the development of land increase in residential areas in Magelang City in 2018-2023 has a direction of development to the North and a slight shift to the Northeast by 2,967o. The distribution pattern of residential land additions is clustered as evidenced by the emergence of a p-value of 0.000 and a z-score of -14.227. The densification rate of buildings in Magelang City from 2018 to 2023 is 36.95 Ha/Year. The mining area of residential land in Magelang City in 2018-2023 is 122,832 Ha. Kota Magelang merupakan kawasan perkotaan yang memiliki laju perekembangan kota yang cukup pesat akibat adanya pengaruh fenomena urbanisasi. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada meningkatnya kebutuhan lahan untuk dijadikan sebagai tempat bermukim masyarakat. Salah satu solusi pemenuhan kebutuhan kawasan permukiman di Kota Magelang yaitu dengan perencanaan pembangunan hunian vertikal berupa rumah susun sederhana. Citra Sentinel-2A tahun perekaman 2018 dan 2023 digunakan dalam menyadap informasi di kawasan perkotaan yang didominasi oleh obyek bangunan.

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode interpretasi hibrida dengan memanfaatkan transformasi Urban Index. Tahapan survey lapangan dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat akurasi data kepadatan bangunan di kawasan permukiman Kota Magelang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu stratified random sampling. Penentuan arah perkembangan densifikasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode standard devitional ellipse, pola perkembangan menggunakan metode nearest neighbor analysis, dan kecepatan menggunakan perhitungan Plt (Pertambahan Lahan Terbangun). Proses penentuan calon lokasi lahan perencanaan rumah susun sederhana di Kota Magelang dilakukan dengan melakukan overlay data dengan 10 paramter dan metode pengharkatan. Dari hasil uji akurasi yang telah dilakukan, proses interpretasi visual citra Sentinel-2A pada tahun 2018 memiliki akurasi sebesar 80,85 ?n pada tahun 2023 sebesar 85,10 %. Sedangkan akurasi intepretasi hibdria menunjukan hasil yang lebih baik yaitu sebesar 92,1%.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perkembangan pertambahan lahan kawasan permukiman di Kota Magelang pada tahun 2018-2023 memiliki arah perkembangan ke Utara dan sedikit bergeser ke Timur Laut sebesar 2,967o. Distribusi pola pertambahan lahan kawasan permukiman yaitu mengelompok atau clustered yang dibuktikan dengan munculnya nilai p-value sebesar 0,000 dan z-score sebesar -14,227. Kecepatan densifikasi bangunan di Kota Magelang pada tahun 2018 hingga 2023 yaitu sebesar 36,95 Ha/Tahun. Peertambangan luas lahan permukiman di Kota Magelang pada tahun 2018-2023 yaitu sebesar 122,832 Ha. Dari hasil overlay 10 parameter didapatkan 6 calon lahan yang dapat dimanfaatkan bagi perencanaan rumah susun sederhana di Kota Magelang yang terdapat di Kelurahan Kramat Utara, Kelurahan Kramat Selatan, Kelurahan Gelangan, Kelurahan Cacaban, Kelurahan Jurangombo Utara, dan Kelurahan Tidar Selatan.
