Formulasi Strategi Bisnis PT XYZ Dalam Menghadapi Perubahan Regulasi dan Persaingan Pada Industri Lembaga Pengelola Informasi Perkreditan

This study aims to formulate an appropriate business strategy for PT XYZ in facing regulatory changes and competition in the Credit Bureau (LPIP) industry. The methods used include PESTEL analysis to evaluate external factors, SCP analysis to understand industry dynamics, and VRIO analysis to assess the company's internal conditions. Primary data were collected through interviews with PT XYZ's management, regulators, service users, and industry practitioners, while secondary data were obtained from the company's annual reports and related publications.
The analysis shows that PT XYZ operates in an environment influenced by regulations, economic growth, demographic, and technological advancements. Regulatory changes by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and price competition pose significant threats. Internally, PT XYZ has strengths such as competent human resources, healthy financial conditions, diverse products and services, and a good reputation. However, weaknesses in technology systems and marketing strategies need to be addressed promptly.
Based on the analysis of the SPACE and TOWS matrices, three business strategies were identified: (a) Leveraging competent human resources and information technology infrastructure to capture credit growth opportunities by developing innovative products that meet market needs, (b) Utilizing the company's reputation and diverse products and services to strengthen cooperation with stakeholders in support of MSME empowerment policies, and (c) Leveraging sound financial conditions to adopt new technologies that can enhance operational efficiency and provide better services to customers. The third strategy received the highest score in the QSPM matrix, indicating that focusing on adopting new technologies that can enhance operational efficiency and provide better services to customers is the most attractive and effective strategy for PT XYZ to implement.
