Rap sebagai Sikap Politis: Analisis Hermeneutika Wilhelm Dilthey dalam Lirik Lagu “Fight The Power” Karya Public Enemy

Penelitian berjudul Rap sebagai Sikap Politis: Analisis Hermeneutika Wilhelm Dilthey dalam Lirik Lagu “Fight The Power” Karya Public Enemy dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan peneliti terhadap kajian hermeneutika. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada makna dan sikap politis yang diungkapkan dalam lirik lagu “Fight The Power” dan mengenai hermeneutika historis yang digagas oleh Wilhelm Dilthey. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu “Fight The Power” dengan menggunakan hermeneutika historis Wilhelm Dilthey.

Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif melalui penelitian kepustakaan yang mengacu pada model penelitian mengenai permasalahan aktual. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis penelitian ini menggunakan hermeneutika filosofis dengan unsur metodologi deskripsi, interpretasi, heuristik dan refleksi kritis filosofis. Penggunaan unsur metodologi filosofis didasarkan pada permasalahan yang ada dan sebagai alat untuk menemukan jawaban permasalahan dalam rumusan masalah.

Melalui penelitian ini, diperoleh penjelasan makna dan sikap politis  pada lirik lagu “Fight The Power” yang diciptakan Public Enemy serta melalui hermeneutika historis Wilhelm Dilthey, penjelasan mengenai makna dan sikap politis tersebut lebih dapat dipahami sehingga diperoleh juga perspektif yang lebih reflektif tentang pengetahuan dan pemahaman suatu teks dari sudut pandang cabang filsafat hermeneutika Wilhelm Dilthey

The research entitled Rap as Political Attitude: Wilhelm Dilthey's Hermeneutic Analysis in the Lyrics of Public Enemy's “Fight The Power” is motivated by the researcher's interest in hermeneutic studies. The focus of this research is on the meaning and political attitude expressed in the lyrics of the song “Fight The Power” and on the historical hermeneutics initiated by Wilhelm Dilthey. This research aims to analyze the meaning contained in the lyrics of the song “Fight The Power” using Wilhelm Dilthey's historical hermeneutics.

This research uses descriptive qualitative research through library research that refers to the research model on actual problems. The method used to analyze this research uses philosophical hermeneutics with methodological elements of description, interpretation, heuristics and philosophical critical reflection. The use of philosophical methodology elements is based on the existing problems and as a tool to find answers to problems in the problem formulation.

Through this research, an explanation of the meaning and political attitude in the lyrics of the song “Fight The Power” created by Public Enemy is obtained and through Wilhelm Dilthey's historical hermeneutics, the explanation of the meaning and political attitude can be better understood so that a more reflective perspective on knowledge and understanding of a text is also obtained from the point of view of Wilhelm Dilthey's branch of hermeneutic philosophy.
