PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL TERHADAP TURNOVER INTENTION PEGAWAI DENGAN KOMITMEN ORGANISASIONAL SEBAGAI MEDIATOR STUDI PADA PT BUKIT ASAM TBK

The purpose of the study is to prove and analyze the impact of transformational leadership on employee turnover intention with organisational commitment (affective commitment, continuance commitment, normative commitment) as a mediator through hypothesis testing. This study involves employees in several division in the main supply chain as respondents who will provide their opinions through questions prepared in a questionnaire. This study design uses a quantitative approach and the data is processed using the SEM-AMOS application. The number of samples taken was as many as the number of employees according to the purposive sampling criteria. The respondents selected as samples were PTBA employees who had a minimum of senior high school education and had worked at PTBA for at least 1 (one) year.
The study results based on responses from 165 respondents stated that transformational leadership does not have a significant impact on turnover intention. Transformational leadership on turnover intention through affective commitment and normative commitment as a intervening variabel shows a significant impact, meanwhile the impact of transformational leadership on turnover intention through continuance commitment shows an insignificant impact. The implication of this research for PTBA is that it can build a motivating work environment, focus on employee development, and optimize the retention of valuable human resources.
