up comedy saat ini sedang naik daun, salah satu jenis materi dalam stand
up yang mulai populer adalah materi-materi dark jokes disabilitas.
Jenis humor ini seringkali memicu kontroversi karena membahas isu-isu yang
sensitif dan dianggap tabu oleh masyarakat. Salah satu komika atau stand up
comedian yang menggunakan jenis dark jokes ini adalah Dani Aditya.
Ia merupakan seorang komika dengan disabilitas cerebral palsy yang
menggunakan dark jokes disabilitas di sebagian besar materi stand up
comedy-nya. Melalui analisis resepsi milik Stuart Hall, penelitian ini akan
menyajikan hasil temuan resepsi audiens terhadap dark jokes disabilitas
Dani Aditya. Melalui metode wawancara, peneliti mengeksplorasi jawaban dari
berbagai informan, salah satu yang menjadi perhatian adalah data dari beberapa informan
disabilitas. Salah satu informan disabilitas yang memiliki kondisi sama dengan
Dani Aditya menilai seharusnya Dani menyampaikan dark jokes disabilitasnya
di lingkungan terdekat saja. Sementara dua informan disabilitas lain mendukung
apa yang dilakukan oleh Dani, namun terdapat beberapa catatan seperti perbaikan
pemilihan kosakata dan pemilihan media penyampaian dark jokes disabilitas.
Dukungan terhadap Dani juga terlihat dari dua informan umum. Melalui dark
jokes disabilitasnya, Dani dapat menghapuskan stigma negatif yang melekat
terhadap disabilitas. Faktor yang mempengaruhi perbedaan pemaknaan tersebut
adalah lingkungan sosial, tingkat pendidikan, pengalaman hidup, dan perbedaan
profesi informan.
The art of stand-up comedy is currently on the rise, One type of material in stand-up that is starting to become popular is dark jokes about disability. This type of humor often sparks controversy because it discusses sensitive issues and is considered taboo by society. One of the comic or stand-up comedians who uses this type of dark joke is Dani Aditya. He is a comic with cerebral palsy who uses dark disability jokes in most of his stand-up comedy material. Through an analysis of Stuart Hall's reception, this research will present the findings of the audience's reception of Dani Aditya's dark jokes about disability. Through the interview method, researchers explored answers from various informants, one of which was of concern was data from several informants with disabilities. One of the disabled informants who has the same condition as Dani Aditya believes that Dani should only convey dark jokes about his disability in his immediate environment. Meanwhile, two other disabled informants supported what Dani did, but there were several notes such as improving the choice of vocabulary and the choice of media for conveying dark jokes with disabilities. Support for Dani was also seen from two public informants. Through his dark disability jokes, Dani can eliminate the negative stigma attached to disabilities. Factors that influence differences in meaning are the social environment, level of education, life experience, and differences in the informant's profession.
