Perancangan Ruang Henti Khusus Sepeda Motor di Simpang Bersinyal Gramedia Sudirman Yogyakarta

Ruang henti khsusus sepeda motor (RHK) merupakan salah satu rekayasa manajemen lalu lintas berupa fasilitas bagi pengguna sepeda motor untuk berhenti di persimpangan selama fase merah. RHK ditujukan agar pengendara sepeda motor dapat keluar persimpangan dengan lebih cepat yang diharapkan mampu untuk mengurangi panjang antrian. Penelitian ini berisi perancangan RHK di suatu simpang, perumusan masalah lalu lintas serta perilaku lalu lintas di simpang tersebut.

Penelitian dilakukan di Simpang Gramedia Sudirman. Survei yang dilakukan berupa pengamatan langsung dilapangan. Survei dilaksanan pada jam sibuk yaitu hari Senin pukul 16.00 – 17.00 WIB pada tanggal 22 Mei 2023. Metode perhitungan berpedoman pada Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997 dan Surat Edaran Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat No. 52/SE/M/2015 Tentang Pedoman Perancangan Ruang Henti Khusus (RHK) Sepeda Motor Pada Simpang Bersinyal di Kawasan Perkotaan.

Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kendaraan bermotor yang mendominasi simpang tersebut merupakan sepeda motor, sehingga rekayasa manajemen lalu lintas berupa RHK cocok untuk diterapkan. Selain itu didapatkan perilaku lalu lintas di Simpang Gramedia Sudirman sebagai berikut. Derajat kejenuhan (DS) di lengan utara 0,45; lengan selatan 0,52; lengan timur-rt 0,13; lengan timur 0,89; lengan barat 0,90. Panjang Antrian (QL) di lengan utara 65,19 meter; lengan selatan 77,97 meter; lengan timur-rt 20,87 meter; lengan timur 135,65 meter; lengan barat 195,04 meter. RHK direncakan pada pendekat utara dan timur. Pada pendekat utara didesain 2 lajur dengan pendekat dan luasnya 74,25 m2; pendekat timur didesain 2 lajur dengan pendekat dan luasnya 92 m2.

Advanced Stop Line (ASL) for motorcycles is a form of traffic management method in engineering which facilitates motorcycle users to stop at intersections during the red phase. ASL is intended to allow motorcyclists to exit intersections faster to reduce queue length. This study contains ASL planning at an intersection, formulation of traffic problems as well as discovery of traffic behavior at targeted intersection.

The research was conducted through a direct observation at Gramedia Sudirman intersection. The survey was conducted during peak hours at 16.00 – 17.00 WIB on Monday, 22 May 2023. The calculation method is guided by a book of Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997 and Circular Letter published by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing No. 52/SE/M/2015 about the Guidelines for the ASL Design for Motorcycles at Signalized Intersection in Urban Areas.

The results showed that the number of motorcycles dominate the motor vehicles in the researched intersections, thus the traffic management method of ASL for motorcycles is appropriate to be applied. In addition, this research also discovered the traffic behaviour at Gramedia Sudirman intersection. The degree of saturation (DS) in the northern arm is 0.45; south arm 0.52; east arm-rt 0.13; east arm 0.89; west arm 0.90. Queue Length (QL) on the north arm 65.19 meters; south arm 77.97 meters; east arm-RT 20.87 meters; east arm 135.65 meters; west arm 195.04 meters. According to the data, ASL is planned in the north and east. In the northern quarter, 2 lanes are designed with an area of 74.25 m2; The East Chamber is designed with 2 lanes with an area of 92 m2.
