Webtoon D.P Dog Day dan Drama D.P: Kajian Ekranisasi

Sesuai dengan judulnya, yaitu “Webtoon D.P Dog Day dan Drama D.P: Kajian Ekranisasi”, penelitian ini membahas mengenai pelayarputihan webtoon D.P Dog Day ke dalam drama D.P di platform Netflix. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan perubahan karakter dan alur dalam proses pelayarputihan bagian pertama webtoon D.P Dog Day ke dalam season pertama drama D.P. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa gambar serta dialog dalam drama D.P dan webtoon D.P Dog Day. Digunakan dua teori pada penelitian ini, yaitu teori Struktural oleh Robert Stanton (1965) untuk mengetahui karakter dan alur penangkapan para desertir di webtoon dan drama saat mengumpulkan data, serta teori Ekranisasi oleh Pamusuk Eneste (1991) untuk menganalisis perubahan berupa penciutan, penambahan, dan perubahan bervariasi dalam proses pelayarputihan webtoon D.P Dog Day ke dalam drama D.P.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses pengalihwahanaan webtoon D.P Dog Day ke drama D.P ditemukan perubahan-perubahan pada aspek karakter dan alur berupa empat puluh penciutan, lima belas penambahan dan sepuluh perubahan bervariasi. Salah satu contoh penciutan adalah ketika An Junho dan Park Seongjun mengajukan diri untuk menangkap desertir Lee Beomyong. Kemudian, contoh penambahan yang terjadi adalah adanya penambahan karakter Cho Seokbong di drama. Selain itu, salah satu contoh perubahan bervariasi adalah adanya perubahan pangkat militer pada karakter An Junho. Sementara itu, dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan pula bahwa perubahan-perubahan tersebut dilakukan oleh sutradara Han Jun-hee untuk menciptakan cerita yang lebih menarik serta agar pemirsa drama bisa betul-betul merasakan cerita yang diangkat dalam drama D.P.

As seen from the title, which is Webtoon D.P Dog Day and Drama D.P: Ecranisation Study, this study discusses the adaptation of webtoon D.P Dog Day into drama D.P. This study aims to describe the changes that were found in characters and plots in the process of adapting the first part of the webtoon D.P Dog Day into the first season of the drama D.P. The data used in this study are in the form of images and dialogues contained in the drama and webtoon. Two theories were used in this study, namely the structural theory by Robert Stanton (1965) to identify the characters and deserters’ arrest plots of webtoons and dramas in the process of collecting data. The second theory used was the ecranisation theory by Pamusuk Eneste (1991) to analyze changes in the form of subtraction, addition, and variation changes in the ecranisation process of webtoon D.P Dog Day into drama D.P.

The results of this study show that in the process of adapting the D.P Dog Day webtoon into drama form, forty subtractions, fifteen additions, and ten variation changes were found in the character and plot aspects. One of the subtraction that happened is when An Junho and Park Seongjun volunteered to catch deserter Lee Beomyong. Then, an example of the addition that occurred was the addition of Cho Seokbong's character in the drama. In addition, one example of a variation changes is the change in the military rank of the character An Junho. Meanwhile, it can also be concluded that these changes were made by director Han Jun-hee in order to produce a more interesting story and so that drama viewers can relate to the story conveyed in the drama D.P.
