Kreativitas Aransemen Sri Hanuraga Dalam Album Musik Jazz Indonesia Vol. 2

Sri Hanuraga sebagai komponis sekaligus pelaku kreatif musik jazz Indonesia dengan kreativitas dan pilihan kreatifnya menawarkan "rasa baru" dalam improvisasi musik jazz, khususnya improvisasi musik jazz pada aransemen lagu daerah Indonesia. Rekayasa bunyi alat musik tradisional menggunakan synthesizer pada aransemen lagu daerah dalam album Indonesia Vol. 2 merupakan salah satu pilihan kreatif Sri Hanuraga. Penelitian ini ingin menggali lebih dalam proses kreatif dan pilihan kreatif Sri Hanuraga dengan mengkaji 3 (tiga) hal yaitu 1) Perubahan bentuk musik lagu daerah ke dalam karakter musik jazz, 2) Penerapan rekayasa bunyi alat musik tradisional menggunakan synthesizer pada semua aransemen lagu daerah, 3) Proses kreatif aransemen Sri Hanuraga pada album musik jazz Indonesia Vol. 2 Sri Hanuraga Trio feat Dira Sugandi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan netnografi. Kajian ini berfokus pada objek material berupa fullscore/partiture semua lagu daerah dalam album Indonesia Vol.2 karya Sri Hanuraga, sedangkan objek formal mengkaji lebih dalam proses kreatif Sri Hanuraga dalam aransemen lagu pada album Indonesia Vol.2. Sumber data berasal dari narasumber yaitu Sri Hanuraga selaku komponis sekaligus musisi dalam album ini. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara online namun tetap mendalam (in depth interview) sehingga dapat menghasilkan data sebaik mungkin. Data diolah dengan reduksi data lalu diuji keabsahanya dengan teknik triangulasi sumber data. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perubahan bentuk musik lagu daerah ke dalam karakter musik jazz pada semua lagu daerah dalam album Indonesia Vol. 2 karya Sri Hanuraga. Hasil berikutnya menunjukan bahwa terdapat rekayasa bunyi alat musik tradisional menggunakan alat musik elektronik synthesizer pada beberapa bagian aransemen lagu daerah dalam album Indonesia Vol.2 seperti pada bagian introduction, verse, solo chorus dan Ending/coda. Bunyi alat musik tradisional yang menjadi sumber bunyi untuk diolah dan direkayasa bunyinya sesuai dengan kreativitas Sri Hanuraga yaitu meliputi bunyi alat musik tradisional gambus Kalimantan, ansambel gong Kalimantan, rindik Bali, gamelan Jawa, rabab, dan konyahpi' yang terinspirasi dan ditranskrip oleh Sri Hanuraga dari 2 (dua) album dalam 20 Album Discover Music of Indonesia oleh Smithsonian Folkways Recording.

Sri Hanuraga, as a composer and creative actor in Indonesian jazz music, with his creativity and creative choices offers a 'new taste' in jazz improvisation, especially jazz improvisation in arrangements of Indonesian folk songs. Engineering the sound of traditional musical instruments using synthesizers in the arrangement of folk songs in the album Indonesia Vol. 2 is one of Sri Hanuraga's creative choices. This research wants to dig deeper into Sri Hanuraga's creative process and creative choices by examining 3 (three) things, namely 1) Changes in the form of folk song music to the character of jazz music, 2) Application of sound engineering of traditional musical instruments using synthesizers in all arrangements of folk songs, 3) The creative process of Sri Hanuraga's arrangement on the Indonesian jazz music album Vol. 2 Sri Hanuraga Trio feat Dira Sugandi. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive research method using a netnographic approach. This study focuses on material objects in the form of the full score/partiture of all the folk songs on Sri Hanuraga's Indonesian album Vol.2, while the formal object examines Sri Hanuraga's creative process in the song arrangements on the Indonesian album Vol.2. The data source comes from the source, namely Sri Hanuraga as the composer and musician on this album. Data was collected by means of online interviews but still in-depth (in-depth interviews) so as to produce the best possible data. The data is processed by data reduction and then its validity is tested by using data source triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that there is a change in the form of folk song music into the character of jazz music in all regional songs in the Indonesian album Vol. 2 by Sri Hanuraga. The next result shows that there is sound engineering of traditional musical instruments using synthesizer electronic instruments in several parts of the regional song arrangements in the Indonesian album Vol.2 such as in the introduction, verse, solo chorus and ending/coda sections. The sounds of traditional musical instruments which are the source of sound to be processed and engineered for sound are in accordance with Sri Hanuraga's creativity, which includes the sounds of traditional Kalimantan gambus musical instruments, Kalimantan gong ensembles, Balinese rindik, Javanese gamelan, rabab, and konyahpi' which were inspired and transcribed by Sri Hanuraga from 2 (two) albums in 20 Albums Discover Music of Indonesia by Smithsonian Folkways Recording.
