Transformasi Cerita dalam Hikayat Wayang Pandu

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan (1) gambaran dan kedudukan dari teks Adiparwa dan Mahabharata versi wayang purwa (MWP) terhadap teks Hikayat Wayang Pandu (HWP), (2) transformasi cerita dalam kedua teks itu ke teks HWP, serta (3) ideologi yang melatarbelakangi M. Bakir dalam pentransformasian tersebut. Secara teoretik dalam penelitian ini digunakan intertekstualitas, teknik transformasi, naratologi, dan ideologi. Secara metodologis, teks tersunting oleh Sunardjo dan Hani'ah digunakan sebagai objek material. Data terdiri atas data lingual dan data ideologis, yang dihimpun dengan teknik penyimakan-pencatatan dan studi pustaka, lalu dianalisis dengan deskripsi interpretatif dan dialektika. Terdapat tiga kelompok temuan dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, teks HWP ialah hiperteks yang secara genealogis diturunkan dari Adiparwa dan MWP sebagai hipoteks-1 dan hipoteks-2. Kedua, pembandingan 54 peristiwa memperlihatkan bahwa terjadi transformasi elemen-elemen fabula: peristiwa, aktor, waktu, dan lokasi. Transformasi ini berimplikasi terhadap pemanjangan waktu cerita sehingga cerita menjadi lebih panjang serta pengglorifikasian kepemimpinan Pandu dan leluhurnya. Ketiga, hipoteks ditransformasi untuk memopulasikan dunia cerita dan memetaforakan dunia wayang sebagai dunia lain. Transformasi itu melibatkan teknik pengubahan, reduksi, dan amplifikasi. Transformasi itu mengimplikasikan bahwa secara ideologis, teks HWP mengekspresikan islamisme, puritanisme, dan modernisme Islam. Hal ini berkaitan dengan pemetaforaan dunia wayang karena bagi M. Bakir, cerita wayang harus dihindari karena mengandung elemen-elemen non-Islam. Ideologi ini ditujukan kepada masyarakat Cina peranakan sebagai konsumen dalam persewaan naskahnya. Ketiga temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa transformasi harus ditempatkan secara kotekstual dan kontekstual dalam relasi antara yang kotekstual dan yang ideologis.

This research aims to analyze (1) the description and position of the Adiparwa and the wayang purwa version of the Mahabharata (MWP) towards Hikayat Wayang Pandu (HWP), (2) the transformation of both texts to the HWP, and (3) the ideology behind M. Bakir in this transformation. Theoretically intertextuality, transformation technique, narratology, and ideology are used in this research. Methodologically edited text by Sunardjo and Hani'ah is used as a material object. The data consist of lingual data and ideological data, that are collected by using the observing-noting technique and literature review, then are analyzed by interpretative description and dialectic. There are three sets of findings in this research. First, the HWP text is a hypertext that is genealogically derived from Adiparwa and MWP as hypotext-1 and hypotext-2. Second, the comparison of 54 events reveals that there is a transformation of fabula elements: events, actors, time, and location. This transformation implies towards the story time elongation so that the story becomes longer and the glorification of the leadership of Pandu and his ancestors.Third, the hipotexts are transformed to populate the story world and metaphorically represent the world of puppet as another world. This transformation involves changing, reducing, and amplifying techniques. This transformation implies that ideologically, the HWP text expresses Islamism, puritanism, and Islamic modernism. These are related to the metaphoring of the puppet world because for M. Bakir, the puppet story must be avoided because it contains the non-Islamic elements. These three ideologies are addressed to peranakan Chinese community as the consumer in his manuscript rental. These three findings show that transformation must be analyzed cotextually and contextually in the relation between the cotextual one and the ideological one.
