ANALISIS MANAJEMEN INFORMASI DENGAN PENDEKATAN LEAN DI PERUSAHAAN PENYEDIA JASA LOGISTIK, PT. AWU

Penelitian ini menganalisis manajemen informasi dengan pendekatan lean pada penyediaan kebutuhan logistik dan pemenuhan aset pendukung di perusahaan penyedia jasa logistik, PT. AWU. Penulis berharap dengan adanya penelitian ini perusahaan dapat memetakan arus informasi perusahaan dan mengidentifikasi hambatan yang menimbulkan pemborosan di sepanjang aliran informasi sehingga perusahaan dapat mengevaluasi untuk perbaikan kedepannya dalam penerapan manajemen informasi dengan pendekatan lean yang menghasilkan organisasi yang lebih lincah dan adaptif terhadap lingkungan bisnis logistik yang semakin kompetitif. Peneliti menggunakan metoda diagram aliran data untuk memvisualisasikan arus informasi perusahaan saat ini. Selanjutnya, penulis mengidentifikasi hambatan yang terjadi berserta implikasinya terhadap pemborosan yang terjadi di sepanjang aliran informasi dari hulu pemilik informasi hingga hilir pengguna informasi. Kemudian, pemborosan arus informasi yang terindikasikan dikelompokkan menjadi empat kelompok tipe pemborosan yaitu failure demand, flow demand, flow excess, dan flawed flow, serta value sebagai prinsip kunci strategi manajemen informasi dengan pendekatan lean. Berdasarkan hasil pengelompokkan pemborosan arus informasi, peneliti menggunakan metoda diagram fishbone untuk mendapatkan akar penyebab pemborosan sebagai dasar memberikan saran perbaikan kepada perusahaan terhadap penyebab yang timbul di sepanjang aliran informasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menemukan indikasi hambatan pada manajemen informasi penyediaan logistik dan aset pendukung di perusahaan PT. AWU. Akar penyebab pemborosan mengarah pada adanya kecenderungan kurangnya dukungan motivasi dan inovasi dalam lingkungan rutinitas pekerjaan serta sistem manajemen informasi perusahaan yang belum sepenuhnya terintegrasi lintas departemen untuk dapat menunjang aktivitas penyediaan logistik dan pemenuhan aset pendukung perusahaan. Selain itu, komitmen manajemen puncak terhadap alokasi waktu dan investasi yang belum optimal dalam mendukung pemutakhiran teknologi juga tidak dapat dipisahkan sebagai pendorong keberhasilan implementasi sistem manajemen informasi jangka panjang.

This study analyzes lean management of information on the supply of logistics needs and fulfillment of supporting assets in a logistics service provider company, PT. AWU. The author hopes that with this research the company can visualize the company's information flow and identify obstacles that cause waste along with the information flow so that the company can evaluate for future improvements in the application of lean information management which results in a more agile and adaptive organization to an increasingly competitive logistics business environment. The researcher uses the data flow diagram method to visualize the current information flow of the company. Furthermore, the authors identify the obstacles that occur along with their implications for the waste that occurs along with the flow of information from the upstream of the information owner to the downstream of the information user. Then, the indicated waste of information flow is grouped into four types of waste, namely failure demand, flow demand, flow excess, and flawed flow, as well as value as a key principle of lean information management strategy. Based on the results of grouping the waste of information flow, the researcher uses the fishbone diagram method to get the root causes of waste as a basis for providing suggestions for improvement to the company on the causes that arise along with the flow of information. Based on the results of the study, the researchers found indications of obstacles in the management of information supply logistics and supporting assets in the company PT. AWU. The root cause of waste leads to a tendency to lack motivational support and innovation in the routine work environment and the company's information management system is not fully integrated across departments to be able to support logistics supply activities and fulfill company supporting assets. In addition, the commitment of top management to the allocation of time and investment that has not been optimal in supporting technology updates also cannot be separated as a driving force for the successful implementation of long-term information management systems.
