Klaten Creative Hub dengan Pendekatan Interconnected Space

Indonesia dianggap sebagai pelopor revolusi industri kreatif dunia dibuktikan dengan terus meningkatnya perkembangan ekonomi kreatif di Indonesia setiap tahunnya. Upaya terus dilakukan oleh Indonesia dan juga berbagai daerah termasuk Kabupaten Klaten menjadikan ekonomi kreatif sebagai bentuk upaya pengembangan perekonomian. Kabupaten Klaten memiliki potensi industri kreatif dilihat dari posisi industri kreatif terbanyak ke lima di provinsi jawa tengah dengan subsektor industri kreatif yang paling potensial untuk dikembangkan seperti subsektor kriya dan fesyen. Namun, kendala yang muncul dan menjadi sorotan adalah tentang pertumbuhan dan pengembangan indutri kreatif serta promosi di era globalisasi. Menanggapi isu tersebut dibutuhkan fasilitas yang menunjang industri kreatif yang ada di Kabupaten Klaten untuk berinovasi dan mengembangkan ide kreativitasnya agar dapat bersaing dalam era globalisasi, perancangan Klaten Creative Hub merupakan solusi untuk membantu industri kreatif yang ada di Kabupaten Klaten sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian serta dapat menjadi ikon dari Kabupaten Klaten. Pendekatan interconnected space digunakan untuk membuat fasilitas penunjang aktivitas kreatif yang dapat saling terhubung antara ruang di dalam maupun di luar bangunan sehingga terjadi interaksi, kolaborasi dan inovasi baik pelaku industri kreatif maupun masyarakat umum.

Indonesia is considered a pioneer of the world's creative industry revolution, as evidenced by the continued increase in the development of the creative economy in Indonesia every year. Efforts continue to be made by Indonesia and various regions including Klaten Regency to make the creative economy a form of economic development efforts. Klaten Regency has the potential for creative industries seen from the position of the fifth largest creative industry in Central Java province with the creative industry sub-sectors with the most potential to be developed such as crafts and fashion sub-sectors. However, the obstacles that arise and are in the spotlight are about the growth and development of the creative industry and promotion in the era of globalization. Responding to this issue, facilities that support the creative industry in Klaten Regency are needed to innovate and develop their creative ideas to compete in the era of globalization, the design of the Klaten Creative Hub is a solution to help the creative industry in Klaten Regency so that it can improve the economy and can become an icon. from Klaten Regency. The interconnected space approach is used to create supporting facilities for creative activities that can be interconnected between spaces inside and outside the building so that interaction, collaboration, and innovation occur, both creative industry players and the general public.
