Bahasan tentang praktik eksploitasi perempuan terselubung yang terjadi pada kelompok sosial mahasiswa seringkali tersingkirkan dari diskursus pembangunan sosial. Skripsi ini berbicara tentang akun instagram @ugmcantik, sebuah produk digitalisasi yang memiliki kekuatan ratusan ribu jumlah pengikut dengan sistem eksistensi yang menampilkan deretan foto mahasiswi cantik. Berbagai standar dan tuntutan kecantikan yang subjektif semakin terbentuk tajam di dalamnya. Tidak hanya itu, admin meraup keuntungan rupiah dari jalinan bisnis yang dinikmati secara pribadi. Sehingga tercipta rangkaian polemik karena admin dirasa sedang melakukan komodifikasi produk ekonomi dan alat taktik politik kekuasaan sebagai bentuk penyamaran atau pelemahan terhadap identitas. Dalam membahas isu sensitif yang memiliki keberagaman pemaknaan, peneliti berusaha memandang dari kerangka dualisme perspektif. Untuk alasan tersebut, penelitian ini akan mengkaji problematik isu secara lebih dalam melalui metode kualitatif studi kasus tentang bagaimana praktik konstruksi perempuan yang terbentuk pada @ugmcantik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memunculkan reaksi dari penyanjungan kecantikan; terkhusus dalam wacana inklusivitas dan keadilan gender. Dalam menjawabnya, kerangka teori feminisme Naomi Wolf dan Diskursus Michel Foucault tentang relasi pengetahuan dan kekuasaan akan digunakan dalam prinsip dasar analisis. Jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah sepuluh orang; dengan dua kategori yang saling berseberangan untuk validitas data, yaitu lima pemilik foto dan lima pengikut aktif @ugmcantik. Terdapat perbedaan latar belakang setiap individu seperti prodi, tahun angkatan, daerah asal, hingga jenis pekerjaan demi optimalisasi variasi data dan akumulasi perspektif yang terbuka. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, observasi, dan studi literatur. Setelah data terakumulasi, peneliti kemudian menarasikannya sesuai prosedur ilmiah sehingga menghasilkan temuan. Diketahui terdapat tiga praktik konstruksi perempuan yaitu; (1) glorifikasi kecantikan, (2) komodifikasi tubuh, (3) pelanggaran privasi. Glorifikasi sejatinya adalah luka karena ini sebuah jebakan untuk mengobjektifikasi perempuan. Lebih daripada itu, ketika mengkritisi isu eksploitasi didapatkan kunci/tolak ukur untuk mengkategorikan praktik eksploitasi atau bukan, yaitu perihal keberadaan pihak yang dirugikan dan yang diuntungkan. Setiap orang memiliki simpulan yang berbeda. Sehingga keputusan jawaban bergantung pada perizinan dan persetujuan afirmatif dari kedua pihak yang terlibat. Namun yang perlu diwaspadai adalah merajalelanya eksploitasi lebih parah dengan konsep yang lebih halus dan terkesan eksklusif. Keberanian dan penalaran yang kritis sangat dibutuhkan untuk penciptaan lingkungan kampus yang aman dan tidak bias gender. Admin dituntut agar secara penuh bertanggung jawab dan menampilkan foto yang tidak menggiring opini hinaan, pelecehan maupun model komentar tanpa etika tentang seksualitas. Pada bagian akhir, skripsi ini ditutup dengan saran, manfaat, dan catatan reflektif.

Discussions about the practice of veiled exploitation of women that occur in student social groups are often excluded from development discourse. This thesis talks about the Instagram account @ugmcantik, a forum that has the power of hundreds of thousands followers with an existence system that displays a row of photos of a beautiful female students. Various standards and subjective beauty demands are increasingly being sharply formed in it. Not only that, admins reap the benefits of business relationships that are enjoyed personally. So that a series of polemics were created because the admin felt that they were carrying out economic product commodification and power political tactics as a form of disguise or weakening of identity. In discussing sensitive issues that have a variety of meanings, the researcher tries to look at it from a dualism perspective. For this reason, this research will examine the problematic issues in greater depth through a qualitative case study method on how women's construction practices are formed in @ugmcantik. The purpose of this study is to elicit reactions from the flattery of beauty; especially in the discourse of gender inclusivity and justice. To answer this, the theoretical framework of Naomi Wolf's feminism and Michel Foucault's discourse on the relation of knowledge and power will be used in the basic principles of analysis. The number of informants in this study were ten; with two opposing categories for data validity, there are five female students whose photos were uploaded by the admin and five active followers of @ugmcantik. There are differences in the background of each individual such as study program, year of generation, region of origin, to type of work for optimizing data variation and accumulation of open perspectives. Data were collected by in-depth interviews, documentation, observation, and literature studies. After the data has been accumulated, the researcher then narrates it according to scientific procedures so as to produce findings. It is known that there are three women's construction practices, namely; (1) glorification of beauty, (2) commodification of the body, (3) invasion of privacy. Glorification is actually a pain because it is a trap to objectify women. Moreover, when critiquing the issue of exploitation, a key/benchmark is obtained to categorize the practice of exploitation or not, namely the existence of the parties who are disadvantaged and those who are benefited. Everyone has a different conclusion. So the decision on the answer depends on permission and affirmative approval from both parties involved. However, what needs to be watched out for is the prevalence of more severe exploitation with a more subtle and exclusive concept. Courage and critical reasoning are needed to create a safe and gender-free campus environment. Admins are required to be fully responsible and display photos that do not lead to insulting opinions, harassment or unethical comments about sexuality. At the end, this thesis is closed with suggestions, benefits, and and reflective notes from the researcher.
