Di Balik Pesona Hantu di Platform YouTube: Analisis Wacana Kritis Channel Diary Misteri Sara

Penelitian berjudul Di Balik Pesona Hantu di Platform YouTube: Analisis Wacana Kritis Channel Diary Misteri Sara ini mengkaji teks video berjudul Tante Kun: Kisah Cinta Adik yang telah diunggah ke dalam channel YouTube Diary Misteri Sara. Analisis ditujukan untuk melihat ideologi dan wacana apa yang terdapat pada teks tersebut. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode analisis wacana kritis yang dikembangkan oleh Norman Fairclough untuk melihat unsur mikro, meso, dan makronya. Analisis memang difokuskan pada isi teks yang terdapat pada video yang menjadi objek penelitian. Akan tetapi, latar belakang Sara Wijayanto juga menjadi hal yang diperhatikan mengingat praktik wacana turut melibatkan produksi dan konsumsi teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui bahasa dan representasi hantu yang dipertontonkan, Sara Wijayanto dan kru telah turut andil dalam melanggengkan ideologi patriarki. Selain itu, Sara Wijayanto juga melakukan dominasi mitos lokal/tradisional, terutama yang berkaitan denhan cerita hantu di suatu wilayah. Dengan representasi itu pula, Sara Wijayanto pada akhirnya gagal melakukan upaya alternatif untuk menjadi counter hegemoni media-media arus utama (televisi dan film). Ada dua tujuan terselubung di balik representasi teks video YouTube milik Sara Wijayanto. Pertama adalah tujuan komodifikasi yang menyangkut keuntungan dan popularitas. Sementara yang kedua berkaitan dengan syiar agama alias berdakwah dengan model baru. Kata Kunci: Representasi hantu, horor, YouTube, Sara Wijayanto, Diary Misteri Sara

The research entitled Behind the Enchantment of YouTube Ghosts: Critical Discourse Analysis of Sara's Mystery Diary Channel examines the text of a video entitled Tante Kun: Adik's Love Story which has been uploaded to Sara's Mystery Diary YouTube channel. The analysis is intended to see what ideologies and discourses are contained in the text. The analysis was carried out using the critical discourse analysis method developed by Norman Fairclough to see the micro, meso, and macro elements. The analysis is indeed focused on the content of the text contained in the video which is the object of research. However, Sara Wijayanto's background is also a matter of concern considering that discourse practices also involve the production and consumption of texts. The results of the study show that through the language and representation of ghosts that are displayed, Sara Wijayanto and the crew have contributed to perpetuating the patriarchal ideology. In addition, Sara Wijayanto also dominates local/traditional myths, especially those related to ghost stories in an area. With this representation, Sara Wijayanto in the end failed to make alternative efforts to counter the hegemony of mainstream media (television and film). There are two hidden purposes behind the text representation of Sara Wijayanto's YouTube videos. First is the purpose of commodification which concerns profit and popularity.
