IMPLEMENTASI TEKNIK ROTOSCOPING PADA FILM "SERIGALA LANGIT"

Pesatnya perkembangan industri film saat ini berdampak pada teknologi yang ada terutama efek visual. Sebelum teknologi perfilman berkembang seperti sekarang ini, seorang aktor memiliki resiko kecelakaan kerja yang tinggi saat menjalani adegan-adegan yang berbahaya dikarenakan belum adanya teknologi editing yang memadahi. Sehingga tak jarang adegan-adegan harus dilakukan secara nyata untuk menciptakan efek yang dramatis. Editor film menggunakan teknik editing untuk membuat efek visual tertentu dalam sebuah film seperti salah satu teknik yang digunakan adalah rotoscoping. Teknik ini dipilih karena chroma key dalam proses editing tidak bisa menangani beberapa detil objek yang tidak tampak bluescreen atau greenscreen dalam suatu shot. Teknik rotoscoping merupakan teknik penyuntingan film yang dilakukan dengan cara melacak live footage video frame by frame dengan menyaring gambar secara selektif dari setiap bagian yang ada dalam frame. Dalam kegiatan pasca produksinya, penulis menggunakan Teknik rotoscoping pada Adobe After Effect dalam sebuah film "Serigala Langit". Teknik rotoscoping dilakukan menggunakan plug-in Boris FX Mocha.

The rapid development of the film industry today has an impact on existing technology, especially visual effects. Before film technology developed as it is today, an actor had a high risk of work accidents when undergoing dangerous scenes due to the absence of adequate editing technology. So that often the scenes have to be done in real terms to create a dramatic effect. Film editors use editing techniques to create certain visual effects in a film, such as one of the techniques used is rotoscoping. This technique was chosen because chroma key in editing proses cannot handle some object details that bluescreen or greenscreen is not visible in a shot. Rotoscoping techniques is a film editing technique by tracing live footage frame by frame videos by filtering images selectively from every part of the frame. In their post-production activities, the writer uses the rotoscoping technique in Adobe After Effect in a film "Serigala Langit". The rotoscoping technique is carried out using the Boris FX Mocha plug-in.
