Kinerja dan Strategi Pengembangan Usahatani Kentang di Kabupaten Magelang

Komoditas kentang merupakan komoditas sayuran yang memiliki peran penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangan dan potensi wilayah yang mendukung menjadikan usahatani kentang layak untuk dikembangkan di kecamatan Ngablak. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui kinerja kelayakan finansial usahatani kentang, dan (2) mengetahui strategi pengembangan usahatani kentang. Metode dasar penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling pada 35 petani di Desa Ngablak dan Desa Genikan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan total biaya per Ha usahatani kentang (Rp 28.887.703). usahatani kentang layak secara finansial berdasarkan nilai pendapatan, keuntungan, BEP penerimaan, BEP produksi, BEP harga, R/C, produktivitas modal (Phi/C), dan produktivitas tenaga kerja. Hasil analisis SWOT menunjukkan posisi usahatani kentang berada pada kuadran IV (startegi defensive atau strategi WT).

The potato commodity is a vegetable commodity that has an important role in meeting food needs and the potential of the area that supports making potato farming feasible to be developed in Ngablak district. This research aims (1) to determine the performance of the financial feasibility of potato farming, and (2) to determine the strategy of developing potato farming. The basic method of this research is descriptive analysis. The selection of research locations was carried out by purposive sampling method on 35 farmers in Ngablak Village and Genikan Village. The analysis result shows total cost per Ha of potato farming is Rp 28.887.703. Potato farming is financially feasible based on the value of income, profit, BEP based on revenue, BEP based on production, BEP based on price, R/C, capital productivity (Phi/C), and labor productivity. The result of SWOT analysis showed that the position of potato farming is in IV quadrant (defensive strategy or WT strategy).
