Motif Batik Tulis Meru Betiri Ditinjau dari Filsafat Seni Susanne K. Langer

INTISARI Penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada karakteristik motif Batik Tulis Meru Betiri yang erat dengan Taman Nasional Meru Betiri. Seiring dengan perkembangan tatanan hidup baru, batik tulis berperwarna alami seperti Batik Tulis Meru Betiri memiliki peluang yang lebih besar untuk terus berkembang di masa mendatang. Pemberdayaan sumber daya alam serta manusia yang ada pada setiap proses pembuatan juga menjadi harapan bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar serta kelestarian Taman Nasional Meru Betiri. Oleh karena itu, motif Batik Tulis Meru Betiri layak untuk dipahami lebih jauh. Pisau analisis yang digunakan adalah filsafat seni Susanne K. Langer menggunakan model penelitian pandangan filosofis di lapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan kepustakaan menggunakan unsur-unsur metodis yaitu deskripsi, heuristika, dan bahasa inklusif. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik motif Batik Tulis Meru Betiri merupakan bentuk respon dari perancang motif Batik Tulis Meru Betiri terhadap lingkungan Taman Nasional Meru Betiri. Karakteristik tersebut hanya dapat dinikmati setelah melalui indera penglihatan manusia karena Batik Tulis Meru Betiri merupakan seni plastik. Respon perancang motif Batik Tulis Meru Betiri sejalan dengan tujuan taman nasional yang ada pada simbol seni dan simbol dalam seni pada setiap motif. Karakteristik tersebut bersifat satu kesatuan dan hadir sesuai dengan konteks yang sesuai dengan tujuan taman nasional. Tujuan tersebut yakni memberikan edukasi, promosi, serta pelestarian ekosistem dan habitat, sehingga tidak hanya perihal kehidupan liar di dalam hutan, tetapi juga melingkupi budaya yang mengitari rumah produksi Batik Tulis Meru yang sekaligus merupakan tempat tinggal dan perancangan motif Batik Tulis Meru Betiri. Oleh karena itu, setiap motif yang ada pada Batik Tulis Meru Betiri bersifat persuasif, edukatif, dan konservatif terhadap kehidupan di lingkungan Taman Nasional Meru Betiri.

This study focuses on the characteristics of the Written Batik Meru Betiri, which is closely related to the Meru Betiri National Park. Along with the development of a new life order, hand-written batik with natural colors such as Meru Betiri Written Batik has a greater opportunity to continue to develop in the future. Empowerment of natural and human resources that exist in each manufacturing process is also a hope for the welfare of the surrounding community and the preservation of the Meru Betiri National Park. Therefore, the Written Batik Meru Betiri motif deserves to be further understood. This research runs with Susanne K. Langer's philosophy of art using a research model of a philosophical perspective in the field. The technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and literature uses methodical componentss including description, heuristics, and inclusive language. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the characteristics of the Written Batik Meru Betiri motif are a form of response from the designer of the Written Batik Meru Betiri motif to the Meru Betiri National Park environment. These characteristics can only be enjoyed after going through the human sense of sight because Meru Betiri Batik is a plastic art. The response of the designer of the Batik Tulis Meru Betiri motif is in line with the aim of the national park which is the symbol of art and symbols in art in each motif. These characteristics are unified and exist in a context appropriate to the objectives of the national park. The aim is to provide education, promotion, and conservation of ecosystems and habitats, so that it is not only about the wild life in the forest, but also covers the culture surrounding the Meru Batik Tulis production house which is also a place to live and design the Written Batik Meru Betiri motif. Therefore, every motive that exists in the Meru Betiri Batik Tulis is persuasive, educational, and conservative towards life in the Meru Betiri National Park.
