Penelitian ini membahas permasalahan seksualitas perempuan di dalam novel Dans le jardin de l'ogre karya Leila Slimani. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap konstruksi seksualitas perempuan di dalam novel dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menganalisis paradoks-paradoks mengenai nilai serta konstruksi seksualitas terhadap perempuan yang terdapat di dalam novel Dans le jardin de l'ogre. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teori konstruksi women as mothers and monsters milik Rossi Braidotti. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis isi cerita (content analysis). Metode tersebut digunakan agar dapat menganalisis data-data yang berupa narasi dan dialog antar tokoh, secara lebih mendalam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran perempuan sebagai ibu dan monster dipengaruhi oleh logika oposisi biner yang menempatkan perempuan pada kutub negatif. Selain itu, paradoks tersebut menunjukan bahwa meskipun terdapat perlawan terhadap konstruksi seksualitas yang dibangun di dalam novel, namun tetap ada penginternalisasian nilai- nilai yang justru membuat konstruksi tersebut tetap langgeng.

This research discusses the problem of female sexuality in the novel Dans le jardin de l'ogre by Leilla Slimani. The purpose of this research is to reveal the construction of female sexuality in the novel and the factors that follows. In addition, this study also analyzes paradoxes regarding the value and construction of sexuality towards women in the novel Dans le jardin de l'ogre. The theory used in this research is the construction theory of women as mothers and monsters by Rossi Braidotti. The method used in this research is the content analysis method. This method is used in order to be able to do a deeper analyze data in the form of narration and dialogue between characters. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the role of women as mothers and monsters is influenced by the logic of the binary opposition that places women in the negative pole. In addition, this paradox shows that even though there are resistances to the construction of sexuality that is built into the novel, there are still internalizations of values that actually makes the construction last
