Stereotip dan Resistensi dalam Cerpen "Kalabaka" dan "Belenggu Emas" Karya Iksaka Banu: Analisis Poskolonial

Penelitian ini berfokus pada stereotip dan resistensi dalam cerpen Kalabaka dan Belenggu Emas. Teori poskolonial dipilih untuk mengupas dua permasalahan dalam cerpen tersebut. Tujuan pertama dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan oposisi biner yang berkaitan erat dengan terciptanya stereotip dari Barat (self) dalam konteks ini adalah Bangsa Belanda memandang Timur (the others) dalam konteks ini adalah Pribumi Indonesia. Kedua, menjelaskan bentuk-bentuk resistensi yang dilakukan Pribumi Indonesia terhadap Bangsa Belanda. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga metode yakni, pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan penyajian data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan perbedaan bentuk-bentuk stereotip dan resistensi dalam kedua cerpen . Perbedaan waktu dan tempat dalam kedua cerpen tersebut, memunculkan pola stereotip dan resistensi yang bereda. Dalam cerpen Kalabaka ditemukan stereotip Pribumi sebagai kaum yang bodoh dan primitif sedangkan dalam cerpen Belenggu emas stereotip Pribumi sebagai kaum yang primitif masih ditemukan. Namun demikian, juga ditemukan stereotip Pribumi sebagai seorang yang cerdas. Resistensi yang dilakukan dalam cerpen Kalabakaberupa resistensi radikal dengan kekerasan. Resistensi yang dilakukan dalam cerpen Belenggu Emasberupa resistensi pasif melalui ideologi. Kata Kunci: Stereotip, Resistensi, Poskolonial.

This research focused on the stereotype and resistance in Kalabaka and Belenggu Emas short story. Postcolonial theory was chosen to analyze these two problems. The goal of this research are first describing binary opposition that is strongly connected with how the stereotypes from the West (self) are formed in this context The West-meaning the Netherlander see East (the others) in this context meaning a native Indonesians. The second goal is to explain forms of resistance that are done by native Indonesians toward the Netherlander. This research use three methods which are, data collecting, data analysis, and data presentment. The results of this research show different types of stereotypes and resistances in both short story. Both of these stories have different set of time and place, gave rise to different patterns of stereotypes and resistance. Inside the story Kalabaka it was found that there is a stereotype that the natives are obtuse and primitive, as for in Belenggu Emas the stereotype of the natives are primitive people was still found, but there were also stereotype about the natives having a good intelligence. The resistance that are done inside Kalabaka is the form of radical resistance with violence. The resistance that are inside Belenggu Emas is the form of passive resistance through ideology.
