Tema Perencanaan Records Center dipilih karena Dinas Pariwisata DIY akan pindah ke kantor baru yang tidak memiliki records center. Penulisan tugas akhir memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi records center Dinas Pariwisata DIY, kendala dalam perencanaan records center dan perencanaan records center yang tepat untuk Dinas Pariwisata DIY. Metode yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir adalah metode observasi, wawancara dan kajian pustaka. Metode observasi dilakukan secara aktif dengan melakukan pengolahan terhadap arsip inaktif dan melakukan pengamatan terhadap records center yang digunakan. Wawancara dilakukan dengan petugas records center sebagai narasumber. Wawancara yang dilakukan merupakan upaya pengumpulan informasi yang tidak didapatkan dalam kegiatan observasi. Metode kajian pustaka dilakukan dari buku yang digunakan dalam penulisan. Kajian pustaka yang digunakan tidak hanya berasal dari buku, tetapi juga dari peraturan, surat keputusan dan jurnal. Kesimpulan dari tugas akhir yang telah ditulis adalah records center Dinas Pariwisata DIY yang ada saat ini tidak dapat menjaga keamanan arsip inaktif. Kondisi records center dapat membahayakan fisik dan informasi yang terkandung dalam arsip. Kondisi tersebut membuat Dinas Pariwisata DIY membutuhkan perencanaan records center. Dinas Pariwisata DIY tidak memiliki perencanaan records center pada kantor baru karena rendahnya kesadaran dan kepedulian terhadap arsip inaktif.

Topic Records Center planning chosen because Yogyakarta Tourism Authority will be move to a new office that doesnt have records center. The purpose of the graduation paper are to know records center condition at Yogyakarta Tourism Authority, problem of records center planning and planning the right records center for Yogyakarta Tourism Authority. The methods used in the graduation paper is observation methods, interviews and literature review. Observation methods has been done actively by processing inaktive records and observation of the records center that has been used. Interview doing by records center staff as speaker. Interview conducted are an effort to collect information that is not obtained in observation. Literature review methods doing by reading the book that used in graduation paper. Literature review that used not only a book, but also regulation, decision and journal. The final conclution of the graduation paper is Records Center Yogyakarta Tourism Authority cant keep the inaktive records save. Conditions of records center is harmfull for physical and information of the records. The condition of records center show that Yogyakarta Tourism Authority needs records center planning. Yogyakarta Tourism Authority doesnt have records center planning because staff has no concern for the records.
