GAYA BAROK DALAM PUISI-PUISI KARYA CHARLES BAUDELAIRE: ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA RIFFATERRIAN

Objek penelitian ini adalah lima puisi dalam antologi Les Fleurs du Mal (1857) karya Charles Baudelaire. Lima puisi tersebut berjudul Le Vampire, Spleen, L'héautontimorouméonos, Le Mort joyeux, dan Le Jeu. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan dan peran gaya barok dalam penulisan kelima puisi tersebut. Permasalahan penelitian ini akan dijawab melalui teori semiotika Riffaterrian dan teori gaya barok dalam sastra. Berdasarkan analisis, dapat diketahui bahwa kelima puisi yang diteliti bertemakan tentang negativitas, yaitu : keputusasaan, kesengsaraan, percintaan yang menyakitkan, kematian, dan kecemburuan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa gaya barok dalam lima puisi tersebut diterapkan melalui metafora, personifikasi, akumulasi, hiperbola, dan paradoks. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap bahwa gaya barok dalam lima puisi yang dianalisis berperan sebagai sarana penyampai tema kelima puisi tentang negativitas. Dari hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa gaya barok dipilih secara tepat agar tema lima puisi mengenai hal negatif dapat tersampaikan dengan sempurna.

The object of this research is five poems in the anthology Les Fleurs du Mal (1857) by Charles Baudelaire. The five poems are titled Le Vampire, Spleen, L'héautontimoroumémonos, Le Mort joyeux, and Le Jeu. This research focuses on the baroque style which is used to create the five poems. Riffaterrian's semiotic theory and the theory of baroque style are used in this study. The result of this research shows that the themes of the five poems are about negativity, they are: a painful love, death, despair, jealousy and misery. This research also reveals that the baroque style in these five poems is applied through the personifications, metaphors, hyperboles, accumulations, paradoxes, and allegory. Based on the analysis, it can be seen that the baroque style in five poems serves as a medium to express the themes about the negativity. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the baroque style was chosen to perfectly convey the themes of the five poems which speak about the negativity.
