Perencanaan records center di Fakultas Farmasi UGM, dilakukan agar dapat menjalankan kegiatan kearsipan di records center yang efektif dan sesuai dengan manajemen kearsipan yang baik. Perencanaan dilakukan setelah mengetahui bagaimana kondisi records center dan volume arsip yang berada di records center lama. Selanjutnya perencanaan records center menentukan lokasi gedung, tata letak/ layout, standar ruang penyimpanan arsip inaktif, keamanan keselamatan arsip dan juga fasilitas penunjang lainnya. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, observasi, dan wawancara. Metode studi pustaka mengambil materi dari bahan pustaka berupa teori, gagasan, dan konsep-konsep yang berhubungan dengan perencanaan records center. Wawancara dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data dan informasi melalui tanya jawab dengan narasumber yang bersangkutan terhadap kegiatan kearsipan. Sedangkan metode observasi partisipatif dilakukan dengan pengamatan terhadap objek di organisasi yang bersangkutan. Kesimpulan dari tugas akhir ini yaitu records center Fakultas Farmasi UGM belum memenuhi standar sehingga perlu perencanaan records center yang baru. Kondisi RC yang lama masih perlu banyak perbaikan, hal ini berpengaruh terhadap keamanan dan perlindungan arsip yang disimpan.

Planning record center in Faculty of Pharmacy UGM, conducted in order to run effective archive activities at the records center and in accordance with good archival management. The planning done after knowing the condition of the central record and archive volume that is in the old record center. Further planning the central record determines the location of the building, layout, standard inactive archive storage space, archives and other supporting facilities. Data collection methods used are literature study, observation, and interview. The literature study method takes material from library materials in the form of theory, ideas, and concepts related to the planning of records center. Interviews conducted by collecting data and information through question and answer with the speakers who discuss about archival activities. While the participatory method is done by looking at the object. . The conclusion of this thesis is the records center Faculty of Pharmacy UGM has not met the standard so it is necessary to plan new records center. The condition of the old RC still needs a lot of improvement, it affects the security and protection of archives that are stored
