DINAMIKA INTEGRASI PERPUSTAKAAN SEKOLAH DENGAN KURIKULUM 2013 STUDI KASUS PADA 4 EMPAT SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI DI WILAYAH KOTA YOGYAKARTA

2018 | Tesis | S2 Kajian Budaya dan MediaPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh implementasi Kurikulum 2013 pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Perubahan kurikulum tersebut diikuti dengan berbagai perubahan dalam pola pembelajaran siswa dan guru. Perpustakaan bagian integral dari sekolah harus segera merespon perubahan ini dengan positif. Penelitian ini menelusuri bagaimana dinamika integrasi perpustakaan dengan Kurikulum 2013 dan implikasi dari implementasi Kurikulum 2013 terhadap perpustakaan sekolah. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di empat sekolah dasar negeri di wilayah Kota Yogyakarta. Pengambilan data untuk penelitian studi kasus ini dilakukan dengan wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan studi literatur/dokumen. Informan terdiri dari tenaga perpustakaan, kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa yang masing-masing berjumlah empat orang dari setiap sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa integrasi perpustakaan dengan kurikulum pada keempat sekolah tersebut bergantung pada kemampuan perpustakaan menjalankan fungsi-fungsinya; kompetensi tenaga perpustakaan, pemahaman dan dukungan kepala sekolah dan guru; serta sarana dan prasarana perpustakaan. Implikasi dari penerapan Kurikulum 2013 terhadap perpustakaan sekolah yaitu munculnya kepentingan untuk peningkatan kompetensi tenaga perpustakaan melalui pelatihan Kurikulum 2013 dan pembekalan keahlian pedagogik; pengembangan koleksi pendukung kurikulum; dan peningkatan minat baca siswa untuk menjadikan mereka pembelajar mandiri dan aktif sesuai dengan karakteristik Kurikulum 2013.
The background of this study is the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in 2013/2014. The change of the curriculum is followed by several changes on the learning pattern of students and teachers. Library as an integral part of the school should immediately respond to the changes positively. The study traces the dynamics of the integration of library and Curriculum 2013 as well as records the implication of Curriculum 2013 on school libraries. The data collecting for the case study is done by conducting semi-structured interview, observation, and literature/document study. The informant, consisting of librarians, headmasters, teachers, and students comes from the four state elementary schools in Kota Yogyakarta. The result of the study showed that the integration of library and Curriculum 2013 depends on the ability of the library in doing its functions; the librarian competence; the understanding and support from the headmaster and the teachers; as well as the library facilities and infrastructures. It is also showed that there is an interest for developing the competence of librarians through the training of Curriculum 2013 and the pedagogic expertise learning; developing the library collection to curriculum-supporting learning sources; and increasing of student reading interest.
