Tesis ini berjudul Aplikasi Teknologi Musik Digital Dalam Kebaktian di Gereja International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini meneliti tentang mengapa teknologi musik digital digunakan dalam kebaktian di Gereja International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) Yogyakarta, bagaimana teknologi musik digital dimanfaatkan untuk komposisi musik dalam kebaktian di Gereja, serta apakah kelebihan dan keterbatasan dari penggunaan teknologi musik digital dalam kebaktian di Gereja International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori konstruksi sosial teknologi dari the constructivist school of the sociology of scientific knowledge yang mengatakan bahwa manusia diposisikan sebagai pembentuk teknologi utama. Metode penelitian tesis ini penulis menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Fokus studi kasus dalam penelitian ini adalah musik dalam kebaktian di Gereja International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) Yogyakarta dan persiapan kebaktian yakni latihan yang dilakukan di gedung sekretariat Gereja. Kebaktian yang diteliti adalah kebaktian super sunday service atau kebaktian regular setiap minggunya Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digunakannya teknologi musik digital merupakan pemenuhan �¢ï¿½ï¿½DNA�¢ï¿½ï¿½ keempat Gereja International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) yaitu cutting edge atau termutakhir. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan kelebihan piranti teknologi musik digital dalam kebaktian untuk membangun kesan dan suasana praise and worship, memungkinkan terjaganya standar kebaktian yang ditentukan oleh Gereja IFGF pusat, meskipun tetap membuka peluang modifikasi penerapannya, serta memungkinkan penggunaan sound effect yang lekat dengan selera generasi muda. Di samping kelebihannya berupa efisiensi pemain, ternyata keberhasilan penggunaan piranti teknologi musik digital memerlukan ketrampilan dalam hal pembuatan sound dan penggunaan sequencer pada saat live.

This thesis entitled Application of Digital Music Technology In Service of International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) Church Yogyakarta. This study examines why digital music technology is used in service at International Full Gospel Fellowship Church (IFGF) Yogyakarta, how digital music technology is used for music composition in church service, and what are the advantages and limitations of using digital music technology in service in International Full Gospel Fellowship Church (IFGF) Yogyakarta. This study uses the theory of social construction of technology from the constructivist school of the sociology of scientific knowledge which states that humans are positioned as the main form of technology. The focus of this study in this research is music in the service of the International Full Gospel Fellowship Church (IFGF) Yogyakarta and the preparation of the worship of the exercises conducted in the Church secretarial building. The study shows that the use of digital music technology is a fulfillment of the "DNA" of the four International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF) Churches, namely cutting edge or the latest. The study also reveals the advantages of digital music technology tools in services to build the impression and atmosphere of praise and worship, enabling the maintenance of a standard of services determined by the central IFGF Church, while still allowing modification of its application, and enabling the use of sound effects attached to Tastes of the younger generation. In addition to the advantages of player efficiency, it turns out the successful use of digital music technology tools require skills in terms of making the sound and use of sequencer at the time of live.
