STRUKTUR DAN PANDANGAN DUNIA NOVEL SEKUNTUM NOZOMI 3 KARYA MARGA.T : ANALISIS STRUKTURALISME GENETIK

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya kritik sosial yang diekspresikan oleh Marga.T dalam novel Sekuntum Nozomi 3. Novel ini menggambarkan otoritas Orde Baru yang menindas rakyat kecil , semakin memperkaya pejabat-pejabat besar, hingga diskriminasi ras Tionghoa yang berujung kekerasan kepada mereka. Di samping itu, di dalam novel SN3 , Marga.T memberikan fakta-fakta historis yang dapat memberikan konteks novel ini. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan struktur novel SN3, pandangan dunia pengarang dalam novel SN3 , dan struktur sosial yang menjadi konteks. Melalui pembahasan tersebut diharapkan mampu mengungkapkan makna totalitas dari teks SN3 sehingga memberikan kebaruan dalam penelitian ini. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Strukturalisme Genetik. Dengan teori tersebut, maka penelitian ini akan menghasilkan pandangan dunia yang diekspresikan pengarang melalui karya sastranya. Pandangan dunia ini menjadi elemen penghubung antara homologi struktur sosial dengan struktur novel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa relasi tokoh hero, yakni Sabrina dan Lidya dengan objek dan tokoh lain di sekitarnya berada dalam kondisi terdegradasi. Melalui relasi tersebut, ia menjalani kehidupan karena kondisi degradasi menjadi upayanya dalam menemukan nilai-nilai otentik berupa persamaan hak dan kebebasan antara sesama manusia sebagai makhluk Tuhan. Nilai otentik tersebut merupakan substansi pandangan dunia humanisme religius yang diekspresikan oleh pengarang. Berdasarkan kajian latar belakang sosial diketahui bahwa SN3 bukan hanya merupakan karya imajinatif pengarang semata, melainkan novel ini juga mempunyai hubungan dengan masyarakatnya. SN3 merupakan satu bentuk respon terhadap kondisi sosial dan budaya masyarakatnya.

The background of this research is the tendency of social criticism expressed by Marga T. in her novel Sekuntum Nozomi 3. The novel illustrates the authoritarian regime of New Order (Orde Baru) that oppresses marginal people, enriches big politicians, businessmen, and state officials, and race discrimination toward Chinese people that implies to the violence toward them. Moreover, in the novel, Marga T. brings historical facts that become the context of the novel. From that description, this research aims to reveal the structure of the novel of Sekuntum Nozomi 3, world view of the author in Sekuntum Nozomi 3, and social structure which become the context of the novel. Through the analysis, this research aims to reveal the comprehensive meaning of this novel and set the novelty of this research. The theory used in this research is genetic structuralism by Lucien Goldmann. Through that theory, this research will uncover the world view expressed by the author of the novel in their work. The concept of world view becomes the element which connects the homology between social structure and structure in the novel. The result of this research shows the degrading condition of the relation between hero characters (Sabrina and Lydia) and other objects and characters around them. Through that relation, she finally lives her life in the purpose of revealing the value of God and humanism. That value is the substance of religious humanism world view expressed by the author. According to the analysis of social background, it is concluded that Sekuntum Nozomi 3 novel is not only an imaginative work by the author, but it also shows the relation between the novel and its society. Sekuntum Nozomi 3 is a response toward the socio-cultural condition in the society surrounds it.
