AKTUALISASI DIRI TOKOH UTAMA SAYURI DALAM NOVEL ANKOKU JOSHI KARYA RIKAKO AKIYOSHI : TEORI PSIKOLOGI HUMANISTIK ABRAHAM MASLOW

Objek material penelitian ini adalah novel Ankoku Joshi karya Akiyoshi Rikako. Novel ini dipilih karena menceritakan proses yang dialami salah satu tokoh utama, Sumikawa Sayuri, dalam mencapai setiap tingkatan kebutuhan hingga aktualisasi diri. Sayuri membunuh Shiraishi Itsumi untuk mencapai tahap aktualisasi diri dan menjadikan dirinya sebagai pemeran utama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sikap tokoh Sumikawa Sayuri untuk memenuhi kebutuhan psikologisnya dalam mencapai aktualisasi diri berdasarkan teori Psikologi Humanistik Abraham Maslow. Teori ini menggunaka teori struktural dan teori psikologi humanistik Abraham Maslow. Teori struktural digunakan untuk menganalisis unsur-unsur intrinsik novel dan keterkaitan antar unsurnya, sedangkan teori psikologi humanistik digunakan untuk menganalisis pemenuhan kebutuhan tokoh Sayuri dalam mencapai aktualisasi dirinya. Teori ini dirasa tepat karena mampu menjelaskan hubungan antara tingkah laku manusia dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar manusia itu sendiri. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Sumikawa sayuri sudah memenuhi kebutuhan psikologinya hingga mencapai aktualisasi diri. Akan tetapi, Sumikawa Sayuri mengalami kemunduran kebutuhan psikologis, sehingga dia membunuh Shiraishi Itsumi untuk mencapai kebutuhan penghargaan, yaitu eksistensi. Dengan begitu dia gagal mencapai kebutuhan aktualisasi dirinya.

The object of this research is Ankoku Joushi written by Akiyoshi Rikako. This novel is selected because of the main character�s story, Sumikawa Sayuri, and her attitude to fulfill the hierarchy of needs. Sayuri then killed Shiraishi Itsumi in order to reach her self-actualization level and replaces her best friend�s position as the main character. The purpose of this research is to understand the attitude of Sumikawa Sayuri to fulfill her psychological needs to reach self-actualization level according to Humanistic Psychology Theory by Abraham Maslow. The reasearch theory is using structuralism theory and humanistic psychology theory of Abraham Maslow. Structuralism theory is used for analyzing intrinsics unsures of novel and the connection between the unsures, while the humanistic psychology is used for analyzing the way Sayuri fulfills her needs in order to reach her self actualization. This theory is capable to explain the relationship between human behavior with the way human fulfills their basic needs. The result of this research is at first, Sumikawa Sayuri had completed her psychology needs untuil she had been reaching her self actualization. However, Sumikawa Sayuri was deficiencing her psychology needs, so she decided to kill Shiraishi Itsumi because she needed to reach her self esteem needs, i.e existance. Therefore, she failed to reach her self actualization.
