Laporan ini memaparkan tahapan dalam pengelolaan arsip foto, mulai dari tahap penciptaan sampai dengan tahap penyimpanan, dan inti dari laporan ini adalah pembahasan mengenai preservasi yang dilakukan oleh Arsip Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta. Adapun tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui dan memahami tentang kegiatan preservasi arsip foto pada Arsip Universitas Gadjah MadaYogyakarta. metode pengumpulan data melalui tiga tahapan. Pertama, studi pustaka, untuk memperoleh reverensi data berdasarkan sumber yang jelas dan terpercaya sesuai dengan tema yang dipilih. Tahap kedua dan ketiga adalah observasi dan wawancara. kedua tahap tersebut selain dapat memeroleh pemahaman kegiatan preservasi arsip foto dan untuk menggali data-data primer. setelah metode pengumpulan data dilakukan, data kemudia dievakuasi dan diolah sehingga diperolehdata yang relevan dengan topik pembahasan. Kesimpulan dari laporan ini adalah bahwa Arsip Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta sudah melakukan kegiatan preservasi arsip foto dan sudah menurut kaidah kearsipan yang baik dan berar. Namun, ada beberapa kendala yang dihadapi seperti keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai. Sehingga dalam melakukan kegiatan preservasi tersebut kurang maksimal.

This reportdiscribes the stages in the management of photo archives, from initial creation tostorage phase, and the core to the report is a discussion of preservation done by the Archives of the Archives of the University of Gadjah Mada. The objective is to now and understand about the preservation activities of the photo archive on the Archives on the University of Gadjah Mada. Data were collected throught three stages. First, the literatur, to obtain the reverence data based on clear and reliable sources in accordance with the chosen theme. Second and third stages are observation and interview. Both of these steps can gain an understanding of activities in addition to the preservation of archival photos and to explore its primary data. Once the method of data collection, the data later in the evaluation and dioleh to obtain data relevant to the discussion topic. The conclusion of this report is that the Archives of Gadjah Mada University has been conducting photo archives preservation and already according to the norms of archives is good and right. However, there are several obstacles faced such limited facilities and infrastructure are less comprehensive. So that in conducting such activities less than the maximum preservation.
