Tulisan ini memaparkan tentang pengaruh genre realisme magis terhadap penulisan karya sastra di Indonesia. Cerpen �Pembunuh Parakang� dalam kumpulan cerpen Gadis Pakarena karya Khrisna Pabichara ini diteliti melalui konsep realisme magis Wendy B. Faris, Tulisan ini menjelaskan bagaimana fungsi dan struktur realisme magis serta kadar realisme magis cerpen pembunuh parakang sehingga cerpen ini bisa dikatakan sebagai cerpen realisme magis.

This paper describes the genre of magical realism about the effect of the writing of literature in Indonesia. Short story "The Killer of Parakang" in the short story collection The Girl of Pakarena by Krishna Pabichara is examined through the concept of magical realism Wendy B. Faris, This paper describes how the function and structure of magical realism and magical realism levels of short stories the killer of parakang so this short story can be told as stories of magical realism.
