FUNGSI PERITEXT DAN TEKNIK NARATIF SEBAGAI PEMAPARAN PRAKTIK HEGEMONI DALAM NOVEL LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES ANALISIS NARATOLOGIS

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kedudukan narator, peran narator, fungsi peritext, dan praktik hegemoni dalam novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Praktik hegemoni tersebut dipaparkan melalui narasi epistolaris dengan melibatkan elemen-elemen peritext sehingga terkesan sebagai karya non-fiksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua kedudukan narator dalam Les Liaisons Dangereuses yakni narator intradiegetic dan extradiegetic dengan letak fokalisasi menggunakan perspektif orang pertama. Narator dalam novel ini selain sebagai pencerita juga sebagai perangkat pembentuk kedinamisan cerita dengan melibatkan tokoh-tokoh yang seolah-olah berasal dari dunia nyata. Kesan nyata kemudian diperkuat melalui peritext. Praktik hegemoni yang terjadi didapat melalui intrik-intrik dengan melumpuhkan kesadaran kritis "korban" hegemoni, sehingga para "korban" tidak menyadari bahwa dirinya telah terhegemoni. Proses hegemoni disampaikan melalui bentuk surat antar-tokoh dengan menggunakan sudut pandang masing-masing tokoh.

This research aims to analyze the narrators position, the role of narrators, the purpose of peritext, and strategy of hegemony in the novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Hegemony presented through epistolary narrative involving the element of peritext creating verisimilitude thus impressed as a non-fiction work. The result found that there are two category of narrator, intradiegetic narrator and extradiegetic narrator both using first person perspective as the focalization. Narrators in this novel narrate the story and form the dynamism involving characters who seems to come from the real world. Verisimilitude then amplified through the use of peritext. The practice of hegemony obtained through manipulative acts by paralyzing critical awareness of the "victim", therefore the "victim" does not realize that he was being hegemoned. The process of hegemony delivered through inter-character letter using point of view of each character.
