SENI PERTUNJUKAN KIDUNG DUMATENG PARA SESUJUD: BUKIT RHEMA DITINJAU DARI KONSEP SIMBOL DALAM FILSAFAT SENI SUSANNE K. LANGER

Judul penelitian ini adalah Seni Pertunjukan Berjudul Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Bukit Rhema Ditinjau dari Konsep Simbol dalam Filsafat Seni Susanne K. Langer. Konsep simbol menjadi bagian dari pemikiran Susanne K. Langer dalam filsafat seni. Seni pertunjukan Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Bukit Rhema menghadirkan simbol dalam seni tentang pemaknaan spiritual yang diakibatkan oleh keberadaan bangunan Gereja Ayam masyarakat sekitar bangunan tersebut. Penelitian ini berusaha menganalisis simbol seni yang dihadirkan melalui gesture dalam seni pertunjukan Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Bukit Rhema. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi pustaka dan historis-faktual. Penelitian ini memuat objek material seni pertunjukan Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Bukit Rhema dan objek formal adalah konsep simbol dalam filsafat seni Susanne K. Langer. Unsur metodis yang digunakan adalah identifikasi, untuk membaca pemikiran Susanne K. Langer, verstehen dan hermeneutika untuk mengerti dan memahami makna yang mendasari pemikiran Susanne K. Langer tentang konsep simbol dalam filsafat seni, yang kemudian diharapkan dapat berperan bagi seni yang berkembang di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini: Pertama, Langer berpendapat bahwa simbol seni pada karya seni sebagai cakupan keseluruhan, bersifat apa adanya dan menyerupai sebuah fungsi simbolik. Simbol seni berfungsi untuk mengartikulasikan dan menyajikan kandungan emosi. Kedua, Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Bukit Rhema,melalui gerakan tari, berusaha mengekspresikan kritik terhadap kehidupan beragama di Indonesia. Ketiga, seni pertunjukan Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Bukit Rhema berusaha memunculkan kembali spiritualitas murni bangunan Gereja Ayam di Bukit Rhema, Magelang.

The title of this research is A Study on Performance Art Entitled Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Rhema Hill from the Symbolic Concept of Susanne K. Langer's Philosophy of Art. The symbolic concept is part of Susanne K. Langer's thouhgt in the philosophy of art. Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Rhema Hill presents a symbol in the art about spiritual meaning caused by the presence of building of Gereja Ayam (Chicken Church) with the society around the building. This research seeks to analyze the symbols of art presented through gesture in the performance art entitled Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Rhema Hill. This research was conducted by the method of library research and historical-factual. The material object of this research is the performance art entitled Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Rhema Hill. The formal object is symbolic concept of Susanne K. Langer's philosophy of art. The used methods are identification to read Susanne K. Langer's thoughts, verstehen and hermeneutics to understand the fundamental thought of Susanne K. Langer's about the concept of symbols in the philosophy of art, which is then expected to play a role for art that developed in Indonesia. The results of this study shown: First, Langer argued that the symbol of art on the artwork as the overall coverage is what it is and resembles a symbolic function. The symbol of art serves to articulate and present emotional content. Second, the Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Rhema Hill,through the dance motion, is trying to express criticism of the religious life in Indonesia. Third, performance art entitled Kidung Dumateng Para Sesujud: Rhema Hill is trying to bring back the pure spirituality of Gereja Ayam building in Rhema Hill, Magelang.
